block all DL but DC lists

hi guys,

i need some help :-\
i run a PtokaX hub, and would like it a 'legal' hub, blocking all DownLoads except those of DC lists, limiting hub to chat and share of list, so that DL/UL is made with another tool, away from hub...
the current way for blocking Guests is blocking the
commands '*ConnectToMe', but then it blocks DClists DL too :-(
 i'm afraid there is no solution, but...
hope one of u find a solution  :P

Let ppl log in with 0 slots :)

(its a pain in the ass that it cant be set in dc++ lol)

or use some not 2 nice clients lol

To transfer a file list, the two client must establish a connection. Once this connection is established, there is no way to stop additional transfers.

However, your definition of a legal hub is skewed. Hubs are already legal because they do not host any files themselves. They are simply a medium of any file transfer.
Likewise, limiting the hub to filelist and chat only, will not ensure the users do not transfer illegal material. You just make it a hassel for them ;-)

as a complement :
i wish not block users to connect to other hubs, asking to a min share amount & slots opened...
or better to ask them share only their list LOL
maybe i'll have to search another tool...
but PtokaX is a good tool and it's usefull to chat all together...

so i'll continue to search for a solution ;-)

You can use IRC if you just want chatting.

I musundaztood the whole thread, because i thought that he wants 2 make a ptokax hub w/o dls - not just a chatroom.

just would like file exchange external to the hub, as a 'private' part between each user, but keep chat AND file lists under PtokaX ;-)
