is there a way that i can make a link in my motd that, if u click on it, downloads a file from a specific user on the network? like say a standard settings file that everyone in my hub needs?
If your client have magnet links support and your users too yep (Strongdc++ for instance)
Just copy/paste the magnet link of the file in the MOTD
To know the magnet link of a file:
File/Open own list/
Right click on the file you would like to share with your friends
Copy magnet link to clipboard
Paste the magnet on the MOTD
That's done :)
awesome thanks! only thing is it shows the whole link, hash, description and all and not just one clickable word. I want it to show say "filename" and if you click on it act like the magnet link. is it possible?

It's not possible on MOTD.
and just in normal chat?
I see what you want but I don't think that it's possible
But there is another solution:
You could send the name of the files in the MOTD
And display a cmd, for instance !magnets something like that
You activate the text file support inbuild in ptokax, and create a .txt named magnets with all the magnets you want inside
When a user join the hub, he see the files (only the name), if he type the cmd !magnets, he receive all the magnet links and choose which one he want.
Not the best solution I guess but it's working and looks more clean in main chat on connection
cool, that was my last resort but i guess ill just do that. thanks for the help
