Hello I have a problem with Auto Update!

When I try to update DiXBot through the hub or usind DixBoT Manager I only get the message that the update failed and I should try later.

Well it worked before until update DiXBoT v2.1 Build 2964 (10.31.09) which I did last year. In DixBot Manager it says last check 04/14/10 and also last updated 04/14/10

I updated another hub today without problems that was hosted by a friend. But with my hub it still doesn't work, also hosted by a friend atm. We share hosting there, but when I'm hosting myself update doesn't work too.

So what could be the problem that the update fails?

Thanks for help!

Some update from me:

Just made another test from my computer, using hub files with an older build than the one above DiXBoT v2.1 Build 2953 (08.22.09) and I was able to update to the newest build DiXBoT v2.1 Build 2987 (03.26.10). So it is not a problem that something is blocked. Tried to update then again from DiXBoT v2.1 Build 2964 (10.31.09) and it failed again. That is really strange.

Hi - please check what update mirror you're using.

Type !updatemirror to get the info.

You could also try to change the update mirror by typing !updatemirror 2

Let me know the result :)

13:35:35] *** DiXBoT Rightclick is enabled. RightClick on Hubtab or a User to access the Rightclick Commands.
[13:35:42] *** DiXBoT Update Mirror is currently set to [ Update Mirror 1 ]. Type !updatemirror [ Mirror # ] to change this setting.
[13:35:55] *** DiXBoT [ DiXBoT Config Cmd ] RightClick Commands have been sent to your Client.
[13:36:09] *** DiXBoT [ Hub Config\AutoUpdate Cmd ] RightClick Commands have been sent to your Client.
[13:36:25] *** DiXBoT is checking [ Update Mirror 1 ] for Updates...
[13:36:29] *** AutoUpdate failed to download Updates. Please try again later.

Thats what I get when using Mirror 1

And when changing to Mirror 2:

** DiXBoT Update Mirror has been set to [ Update Mirror 2 ].
[13:38:15] *** DiXBoT is checking [ Update Mirror 2 ] for Updates...
[13:38:20] *** AutoUpdate failed to download Updates. Please try again later.

So none of the mirrors works for me.

And for another hub where I'm op it works:

13:44:19] *** DiXBoT is checking [ Update Mirror 1 ] for Updates...
[13:44:19] *** This Hub is running the most recent version of DiXBoT. (DiXBoT v2.1 Build 2987).

But as I told in my first message, I was able to update from an older build hosted on my computer. Only the one I updated to DiXBoT v2.1 Build 2953 last year doesn't allow me to update.

So my thoughts are that something went wrong when I updated to DiXBoT v2.1 Build 2953 and all further updates are blocked now.

Found the problem!

Checked the Folder Auto Update in Core System and for some strange reason the folder tmp and update where missing, never deleted them though. Well I simple readded those 2 folders and now auto update works again! :D

Looks like that the last update I made deleted those both folders instead of only the content.

Anway; I'm happy that I can update now again! :D

Thanks to you Snooze for the best AllInOne Script ever! ;D
