Quote[01:36:07] btw is there a 'Live' changelog for DC++?
[01:37:29] 'Live'?
[01:37:34] yeah
[01:37:48] And you mean by that?
[01:38:26] a changelog where all changes are written
[01:38:34] even between 2 releases
[01:38:43] Eh, press F1...
[01:38:43] a.k.a. immeadiately :P
[01:39:10] so i can see what changes were made since last release
[01:39:13] All changes between versions are in the changelog.
[01:39:30] (Well, all of them that arne put in.)
[01:39:44] post-674 ones?
[01:39:48] Yes...
[01:39:54] Have you even checked the changelog?
[01:40:05] i run czdc
[01:40:09] If you don't get the changelog by  F1 try Alt-F4
[01:40:18] *** Parts: plop
[01:40:34] bastya_elvtars: don't mention CZDC++ before Pretorian, he hates it :)
[01:40:40] [01:40:33] i run czdc <-- How contradicting. "[01:36:35] btw is there a 'Live' changelog for DC++?"
[01:40:55] yes, it's contradicting
[01:40:59] see I told you LOL
[01:41:24] if i run czdc i am still allowed to be interested about DC++ changes, or not, Mr. Almighty Nobody?
[01:41:27] If you want to view the changelog for DC++, I suggest you download DC++ and check it. Want me to hold your hand little more?
[01:42:04] i wanna see changes *since latest version*
[01:42:42] And that is in the changelog.
[01:43:12] *** Joins: plop
[01:45:16] so i have to keep dling the dc++ archive if i wanna stay up-to-date with changes made? poor 56k-ers...
[01:45:41] no it's available in the web-cvs =)
[01:45:56] i saw
[01:46:12] and downloading ~1MiB isn't much even for a 56k user
[01:46:17] already found, just there is such changelog for ptokax
[01:46:51] DC++ latest changelog can be found in CVS
[01:47:01] And you can browse the changelog for every specific version. (Non web-CVS :P )
[01:47:06] anyway Pret chose to preach instead of telling this to me
[01:47:21] No I didn't. I said it was in the changelog.
[01:47:28] http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/dcplusplus/
[01:47:34] Look at your question again.
[01:48:14] and since this is a hub for developers we do assume you can use a webbrowser to find it yourself =)
[01:48:23] Read: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
[01:48:47] Goodnight / godnatt / sov gott / weltrusten / Gutte nacht
[01:49:02] if it's a dev hub, we should perhaps assume he can *make* a webbrowser to find it himself ;)
[01:49:04] Good night TeQuilla
[01:49:10] see http://dcportal.dox.hu/images.jpg
[01:49:39] More specifically: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html#prune
[01:49:41] FC hehe do you even have to write any code to build a C# webbrowser? =)
[01:50:22] i have already seen that
[01:50:47] and always wondered why people not willing to help write a manual on helping yourself
[01:51:27] using windows' IE functionality is cheating - that's for script kiddies, not for devs ;)
[01:51:35] haha
[01:52:38] heh
[01:53:06] *** Disconnected
[01:54:07] *** Connecting to wza.digitalbrains.com:1416...
[01:54:07] *** Connected
[01:54:07] You're permanently banned from this hub because:  /Pretorian
[01:54:07] *** Disconnected

Now tell me: does this picture take really take 4 mins to percieve? :D

Everything could have been anything else and it would have just as much meaning.

If you use tortoiseCVS and  added a directory for dc++
you can use right click mouse and cvs - history.

Or less than an hour, if you read my comments and act on them (googling for "dc++ changelog" and tracking back from the html version of the changelog [which is always out of date until the version header in changelog.txt acquires a release date]).

Like most bits of drama, this has been a waste of everyone's time.

And for the record, I'm sorry you didn't get the best possible answer.   It's not anyone's specific responsibility to give you one, but I would have pointed you in the right direction if I had been at the computer at the time.  If you feel you're being slighted, don't escalate the situation.  (Light) drama such as this (or arguing in the hub) pretty much sucks ass.
