Please post what version of DiXBoT you're using.
I've released an update to Chats that will auto-join the person who sets the chat to Private + solved a few other bugs.

Just to make sure - you're unable to chat in that Chat you've created, right?
As its private, you're not allowed to join/part - though you can !invite and !uninvite people (including yourself as owner)
