At least a TD version, not full version, because Christmas it's getting here also....
I like PtokaX but there are a lot of problems and stuff missing in PtokaX the latest versions :(( (TD 4 I think it's the latest) run it as service I consider very important and other options also which ok, some of them can be fixed by running scripts.

Thanks and good luck with the developmnet, sorry if I was rude, but I think it's time for at least a new TD version.

patience is really important here, nobody want 2 see a repeating of what happend on td.
when all the major bugs are gone it whill be released and not a minute sooner.
when that is nobody knows.
finaly all ptokax versions can be run as system service by using special programs.
app2service and srvany are 2 of them (last is freeware).

But to wait for a version that it's bug's free will take a long time, not tell me that there is a program (server) that has no bugs and PtokaX from what I know wa always realeased as beta or almost final and never as a final version bug's free. What I am trying to say is that patience is a virtue, yes, but  in this case PtokaX is crashing and other problems, for example my log files was 150 Mb and stoped working, reglist it's fucked up, if I have soemthing like ~200 reg users from time to time it stopes responding to commands, the program erases the .ini file, and you redo the settings, exit, and starts again blank, replace the .ini file with a back-up and same erases the .ini file settings, you click start the hub and nothing, and many other problems. So I belive that it's time to release a new TD/beta whatever because it's very unstable and it's not a client, it's a server and users dont like to see downtime on the hub because the program is crashing a lot and you will start to loose users. My point is that beta or not beta realease a new version to show hub owners that PtokaX is still under development and not under construction like the web servers that keep that page for years.

which version are you running ??  we have uptimes of weeks on testdrive (not higher as the hub owner reboots himself before that).
logfiles of 150MB are way 2 big, if the bot makes those then change them 2 make a new file every day.
files these sizes can make the hub very unstable indeed.
can you make a list of your system specs and bot's and hub settings, maby there is something else which is causing the instabilety.

From my point of view PtokaX it's nice, that's why I'm running it, but with the problems with the ban list (~6000 ip address) and reg list ~200 users there is nothing else to do, except put the ban list in firewall directly.

PtokaX crashed from time to time and self erases the settings and refuses to run again, and all the other things I've told in the other post.
TD4 uses to much memory and you end up with PtokaX.exe using 99% RAM .... and computers gets stucked.

When you restart the computer it would be nice to have it started as a service and not to stay and buy/use other programs to do that, come on it's suposed to be a server and from what I know making it a service it's not that hard to do, at least in Delphi.

To have a program that it's stable and bug's free you need to realease BETA versions, look at all the other people. I think that it's good to do an area in the Forum for PtokaX Beta's and where people can download the versions and it's there responsability if they want to use it and do beta testing and help the developers in finding bugs, instead of having only a few beta testers when there are others that are willing to help, think about it.
What do you lose if you do this ??? Nothing, but you can get help in finding the bugs, so you win.
That's my point of view about all this.

There is a beta team and there are beta's just not available for everyone.

There has been since TD4 much improved on stablility i think but there still bugs too fix in it , so have patience is all i can say.

That's my point of view about all this.

ptokax only saves it's settings on exit, so if you start it and alter any settings they will be lost on a crash if you don't close ptokax 1x before that.
if you wanne be save on this why don't you store a backup ini file somewhere. ?

srvany is free 2 use and can make ptokax into a service (just make sure you don't have the tray icon enabled).
+ you can also change/use the windows registry 2 auto start ptokax on launch (nearly every virus uses this way 2 auto start).

files the size of your log files can choke up nearly any app, try opening it in words/notepad.
maby an idea for you is 2 use 2 files, 1 with 2day's logs and 1 with all the old logs (append 2day's log 2 this when a new day starts).
