my own quote from the 16.07 release thread =

with the new xml instead of .dat, is the "profile" bug fixed?
I mean, profiles that isn't ptokax default profiles, like people complained about the netfounder profile in RC 10.01, which ptokax was the cause.

From 16.07 is posible to set profile order from highest to lowest... is this what you want  ?(  :))

    As a netfounder, I can't gag any master, mod and operator, but, they can gag me. Could u check that?
    Best regards,

Yups i know about it saddly it has nothing todo with robocop. PPK says it's a profile problem in ptokax it's not well written.

I tryed everything asswell as editen the profiles.dat manualy but result stays the same.

Can't exactly remember what it was about & this forum has a bad search function, but maybe you remember this, because you have talked about it with Optimus.

I'm kind of confused but i thought allowing to put profiles up or down did solve this problem.

It's like a daily release  :D
Keep it coming PPK.

By the way, that problem with the !gag command still happened when using PtokaX 16.06 (I haven't tried the new ones). Just like blackwings said, I would also like to know if the manual profile ordering solves that problem in 16.07+.

Best regards,

i would think so m8, dont hold me on it, ill test it on one of my hubs and let you know, it sounds correct as in the old.dat format you where able to list them like so:

++|DC++|
DCGUI|Valknut|
DC|NMDC2|
oDC|oDC|
DC:PRO|DC:PRO|
QuickDC|QuickDC|
StrgDC++|StrongDC++|
LDC++|LDC++|
R2++|R2++|
Z++|Zion++|

so i dont see why not  :D

Hi PPK thanks for this great new version....
We only have a small problem with users connecting the hub with an PhantomDC tag <.P>
They only get the connect message and will be disconnected.

Strange thing is that Vip users don't have any problems with it.... Wierd

must the profile numbers be changed when changing order, or does ptokax just check which order they appear in the .xml file?

Why in this version if banned write - [01:29:39] <>Your nick is banned! Instead of Your ASS is banned? For user that it would change? and when i ban in banlist puts ip and nick ban..... ???? how it may change? in robocop when i press kill puts 2 nick bans.... psc.. pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaase change it, how it was in build 15.25 .. ths

My guess would be that they change, but anyway, whether they change or not, it's always dirty to use "magic numbers" in the scripts... if you get the profile indexes from PtokaX on start, you'll never run into trouble...

PPK, is it possible to log all the PtokaX deflood warns/disconnects, so that we can keep track of what happened to some users?
It's that sometimes we just see a big tempbanlist and we don't know the reason for some.

Keep up the great work.

Cheers

This is because the latest PtokaX solves on Arrivals user's tasks first and then proceedes with its own code (that means, that if a message arrives in PtokaX console, it won't print it first, but it'll process the script code, write scripted replies first, and then process (write out) original message itself).
  To solve this, you need to process the message arrivals yourself... I'll add a typical part of code for chatbots in new PtokaX:

function ChatArrival(curUser, data)
  if Data_processed(data) then --BOT triggered
    SendToAll(data) --original data should go first
    SendToAll(TRIGGERBOT, answer) --Bot's reply
    return 1 --to HUB: don't process the original data
  end
end

Hey PPK, I have some suggestions.

Why not a GUI clean-up, i mean it would better if the gui were cleaned of crap and stuff

Like the frontpage and all the settings

and might i suggest plug-ins?

I think deflood should be made a separate lib, then if deflood updates not the whole hubsoft should be replaced, and would be easier to maintain. Just an idea, I don't know whether it can be done.
Title: [Suggestion] Expire date on regged users
Post by: Snooze on 31 March, 2005, 20:33:43
Well.. as the topic suggests..

As I'm running a Public hub where users can register if they like, it would be nice to auto- get rid of those users who move on to other hubs ..

Regards,

Snooze

Isn't plop's regcleaner good enough for you? BTW not that bad idea, just would have to be used carefully.

well... i made my own based on how i feel it should be done ... but it would be easier to have it build into the hubsoft.

Does removing the tick , in stop script on error not help with this, or !restartscripts.
Title: HubList Pinger
Post by: zehrkool on 05 April, 2005, 10:33:56
I am having problems with the Hublist Pinger picking up my hub, it states 0 users when there are roughly 50/60 users.
I have tried running the latest versions of PtokaX:  0.3.3.0 build 16.06 for Windows ME/98/95 & 0.3.3.0 build 16.09 for Windows ME/98/95 with Robocop v10.01c.
Would this be a problem with PtokaX, Robocop or Windows 98se?
I have read previously that the latest PtokaX solved this issue, but it is still happening.

My hub only started experiencing this problem once I updated to PtokaX 0.3.3.0.b16.09.9x.rls and Robocop v10.01c.  :(

I'll try un-regging Hublist's pinger from my hub, hope it works.

I've experiencing the same o-user problem with pinger, but I think it's due to a weird behaviour  of Ptokax.
When I start hub with autoregister on there's obviously no user in but server start autoregistering immediately on hublistst.
If yoy take a look in error.log in logs dir you may find :
10/04/2005 11.47.50 - Serving started
10/04/2005 11.47.51 - [REG] Hub is registered on dreamland.gotdns.org hublist (Users: 0, Share: 0)
10/04/2005 11.47.51 - [REG] Hub is registered on reg.hublist.org hublist (Users: 0, Share: 0)
10/04/2005 11.47.51 - [REG] Hub is registered on dcreg.mine.nu hublist (Users: 0, Share: 0)
10/04/2005 11.47.51 - [REG] Hub is registered on dcinfo.sytes.net hublist (Users: 0, Share: 0)
10/04/2005 11.47.54 - [REG] Hub is registered on vandel405.dynip.com hublist (Users: 0, Share: 0)

then.. after few ours...

10/04/2005 14.03.00 - [REG] Hub is registered on dreamland.gotdns.org hublist (Users: 195, Share: 9899308942668)
10/04/2005 14.03.00 - [REG] Hub is registered on dcreg.mine.nu hublist (Users: 195, Share: 9899308942668)
10/04/2005 14.03.00 - [REG] Hub is registered on reg.hublist.org hublist (Users: 195, Share: 9899308942668)
10/04/2005 14.03.05 - [REG] Hub is registered on dcinfo.sytes.net hublist (Users: 194, Share: 9905262312327)
10/04/2005 14.03.10 - [REG] Hub is registered on vandel405.dynip.com hublist (Users: 195, Share: 9946665996816)

It would be nicer if in future releases, ptokax would have a initial delay (maybe customizable) before starting autoregister on hublists.
 :P

Have a nice share !

Sorry.. I've found another strange behaviour...
I've started ptokax without "autoregister on" I've activated later when users are in.
error.log shows :

10/04/2005 21.18.04 - Serving started
11/04/2005 19.09.27 - Serving stopped (UL: 14581573467825504256 , DL: 1196058)
11/04/2005 19.13.41 - Serving started

Obviously it does not start registering.
I've also tried  changing reg server list and "!autoregister on".. but server still fails to register on hublists.

Another one...
Don't know if is a server issue or a robocop problem but trying to register a user using zrightclick.lua while inside a private message cause me to disconnect from hub.

The same command used main chat works fine.

Maybe raw commands have different use in PM ?
