I think deflood should be made a separate lib, then if deflood updates not the whole hubsoft should be replaced, and would be easier to maintain. Just an idea, I don't know whether it can be done.
Everything could have been anything else and it would have just as much meaning.

Well.. as the topic suggests..

As I'm running a Public hub where users can register if they like, it would be nice to auto- get rid of those users who move on to other hubs ..

Hi PK

Any chance of Making the Script stay Ticked even if error.

its a pain having to Go to the server to retick it everytime it errors..

i update everything remotely....

Cheers

Isn't plop's regcleaner good enough for you? BTW not that bad idea, just would have to be used carefully.

well... i made my own based on how i feel it should be done ... but it would be easier to have it build into the hubsoft.

Does removing the tick , in stop script on error not help with this, or !restartscripts.

I am having problems with the Hublist Pinger picking up my hub, it states 0 users when there are roughly 50/60 users.
I have tried running the latest versions of PtokaX:  0.3.3.0 build 16.06 for Windows ME/98/95 & 0.3.3.0 build 16.09 for Windows ME/98/95 with Robocop v10.01c.
Would this be a problem with PtokaX, Robocop or Windows 98se?
I have read previously that the latest PtokaX solved this issue, but it is still happening.

How can you get it to work with using the hublist.org website to register the nick and password of the hublist bot? seems to say 0 users when I try that.

imby

I did the same thing and then it didnt pick up any users. I emailed hublist support and they said not to registere the hublist bot. Since I took it out I have had no problems

My hub only started experiencing this problem once I updated to PtokaX 0.3.3.0.b16.09.9x.rls and Robocop v10.01c.  :(

I'll try un-regging Hublist's pinger from my hub, hope it works.

zehrkool

Thanx Doobert, my hub is now being pinged from hublist with correct user count.

:)

Keep up the good work PPK !

I've experiencing the same o-user problem with pinger, but I think it's due to a weird behaviour  of Ptokax.
When I start hub with autoregister on there's obviously no user in but server start autoregistering immediately on hublistst.
If yoy take a look in error.log in logs dir you may find :
10/04/2005 11.47.50 - Serving started
10/04/2005 11.47.51 - [REG] Hub is registered on dreamland.gotdns.org hublist (Users: 0, Share: 0)
10/04/2005 11.47.51 - [REG] Hub is registered on reg.hublist.org hublist (Users: 0, Share: 0)
10/04/2005 11.47.51 - [REG] Hub is registered on dcreg.mine.nu hublist (Users: 0, Share: 0)
10/04/2005 11.47.51 - [REG] Hub is registered on dcinfo.sytes.net hublist (Users: 0, Share: 0)
10/04/2005 11.47.54 - [REG] Hub is registered on vandel405.dynip.com hublist (Users: 0, Share: 0)

then.. after few ours...

10/04/2005 14.03.00 - [REG] Hub is registered on dreamland.gotdns.org hublist (Users: 195, Share: 9899308942668)
10/04/2005 14.03.00 - [REG] Hub is registered on dcreg.mine.nu hublist (Users: 195, Share: 9899308942668)
10/04/2005 14.03.00 - [REG] Hub is registered on reg.hublist.org hublist (Users: 195, Share: 9899308942668)
10/04/2005 14.03.05 - [REG] Hub is registered on dcinfo.sytes.net hublist (Users: 194, Share: 9905262312327)
10/04/2005 14.03.10 - [REG] Hub is registered on vandel405.dynip.com hublist (Users: 195, Share: 9946665996816)

It would be nicer if in future releases, ptokax would have a initial delay (maybe customizable) before starting autoregister on hublists.
 :P

Have a nice share !

bastya_elvtars

Dunno whether this works...

-- PtokaX Lua 5 version by PPK
-- applied for 16.09 by bastya_elvtars

owneremail = "enter@mailhere.com"

function BotINFOArrival (user,data)
	local minshare = frmHub:GetMinShare()*1024*1024
	user:SendData("$HubINFO "..frmHub:GetHubName().."$"..frmHub:GetHubAddress()..":"..frmHub:GetHubPort().."$"..frmHub:GetHubDescr()..
		"$"..frmHub:GetMaxUsers().."$"..minshare.."$"..frmHub:GetMinSlots().."$"..frmHub:GetMaxHubs().."$PtokaX$"..owneremail)
	return 1
end
Everything could have been anything else and it would have just as much meaning.

I don't know if ptaczek have reason for do it, but PtokaX really try to register on hublist on hub start with 0 users... removed and now first try to register is after 15 minutes of hub run  :]

Sorry.. I've found another strange behaviour...
I've started ptokax without "autoregister on" I've activated later when users are in.
error.log shows :

10/04/2005 21.18.04 - Serving started
11/04/2005 19.09.27 - Serving stopped (UL: 14581573467825504256 , DL: 1196058)
11/04/2005 19.13.41 - Serving started

Obviously it does not start registering.
I've also tried  changing reg server list and "!autoregister on".. but server still fails to register on hublists.

ruspant

Another one...
Don't know if is a server issue or a robocop problem but trying to register a user using zrightclick.lua while inside a private message cause me to disconnect from hub.

The same command used main chat works fine.

Maybe raw commands have different use in PM ?

Ok you get another point, in this is missing enable on hub run... fixed :]

Disconnect = corrupted or bad format of pm message  :rolleyes:
