Yes! at the first moment the ram usage is 7mb after  16hours the ram usage is 27mb.....
 and the cpu usage is 52....
IT'S A BIG PROBLEM!!
But the user, after 16h, can enter in to the hub...but it's too slow.

Developing by who? If by aMutex the future is dark, if by oher people... Ptacek knows this?, If he know it, perhaps he maintain the code for mhs and do not remove it but in this case, he will need to work together with the other person since ptokax have change a lot of code and for good support ptacek will take about the code inside ptokax itself.
Also i remember now there is another app out here who implement multichat support, is no compatible without ptokax because needs an script running in every ptokax server, and the script part for this is totally difficult because some limitations in lua language but i know ptacek, he can implement an built in support for this (something like a single plug in support) in less than a few hours and optimize the code in a few hours more if he wanna do it, you can be sure of that, i also know the other developer, he wants to give support for ptokax too, since both are nice and smart persons, i don't see any reason for not do it, except one or both of the developers will be not interesting or nobody find something usefull in this. I will give this link to people related for he read it, perhaps Ptacek say yes, so if better him be informed for just in case.

well i'm talking about the mh server that is developed by aMutex, there is a testversion and the multichat is working, but it's never finished since dc++ doesn't support multi hub searches and that was the main idea behind the mh server.

well it's my IMDB script causing problems, so it could be
the lua. ports or reading/writing textfiles. I'm going write some smaller scripts for testing too figure it out.

But could Dax, Typhoon and lazyji89 also write down want scripts there currently running.


btw, i also saw there's now a checkbox for adding textfile support. I tested with the Imdb script with that box checked and unchecked and it's having the same problems.

Yes I am having the same problem.  I'm running the 15.16DB and after letting it run for, oh it took almost 24 hours, I noticed something was wrong.  I tried to refresh my user list cause it was stuck at 207 users.  It wouldnt refresh.  I tried bring up the hub from the task bar and it wouldnt.  I opened task manager ptokax was using 99-100% CPU and was eating a lot of memory. 144MB of virtual memory and like half that of memory.

Interesting thing is that when I just hovered the mouse over the ptokax icon on the taskbar (you know, by the clock) it said there were still 112 users connected.  I tried reconnecting my client and it connected and that was it.

Every time it says Connection reset by server, I forceably shot down the hub.  After the first time I ended the ptokax process in task manager, I tried restarting it and connecting.  Once connected as it shows above, I clicked on the hub and it was nothing but totally white.  I clicked to close it and had to end the process cause it wasnt responding.  I restarted the hub again and now it is working fine.  People are connecting, searching and everything normally.  I didnt see any errors that the hub gave to put into the debug log so I have no further than what I've explained here.  Hope this helps.

In short for [NL]Pur, yes I am having the same problem with 15.16, but I did not have that problem with 15.12.

What scripts are you runing?
Because it sounds like the same problem for me when I was runing ChannelBot 4.3c_fix with TD4.

Over 250 users it did act like that.

Remove all complex scripts and se how it works.

It works perfect here.

You have many complex scripts here...
Try to remove some of the scripts and se if it's working better:

Loggscripts can take alot CPU usage.

and i see your running imdb bot and that one is causing problems for sure :(

Try it in a testhub out, if you use a command of the imdb bot cpu goes too 90% and connecting isn't possible anymore.

well, I hate to say it, but again after 20 hours or so of consistent running, it did it again, putting my virtual memory over 200MB, cpu at 99-100% and totally locked all up.  I restarted and tried doing commands with IMDB bot and it is getting me results and sllowing people to connect to the hub after commands are done.  Any other suggestions?

If I remember correctly, 15.12, the release before this 15.16, 15.12 ran correctly for days on end without any problems, using the same scripts.  If I had a debug message or an error report to give, I would.  Whatever changed between the 2 has definately had a bad effect after 20 hours or so of running.

@dyzan: i really don't see what your replies has todo with the bug we found in ptokax. Do you test beta versions of ptokax ? Since imdb script is running smooth on older ptokax versions, it has nothing todo with how many or how complex the script(s) is or are. Just not running scripts that don't work anymore is the easy way out.

Not running the script may be the easy way out, but I am going to try it.  I've disabled the IMDB bot and am going to wait yet another 20 hours to see if the hub locks up again or not.  As soon as I find out whether or not the script is having some sort of affect on the hubware, I wil post immediately.  Stay tuned for a post from me within 20 hours or so.

Not that this is a major bug, but is anyone else seeing double?

what I mean is on the advanced options tab, where it shows the memory used by scripts.  Advance to the bottom and does anyone else see the very last script listed twice?  If I knew how to paste a picture into here, I would show a screenshot for everyone.
