This bot is a script for PtokaX written in Lua 4 ..

One of the biggest bots, scripts, ever witnessed by this community ... Unfortunately, its development has stopped for about a year now ... It had been developed by Guibs who has been an inspiration to many bot-scripters. It had many many features and the it was the first bot to have a graphical user interface (gui) [I still remember that landscape..]

Nowadays, there are many other bots around that do the job quicker lighter wiser .. Nevertheless the work put in ChannelBot has been a huge help to this wonderful community. (Guibs post a "hi" whenever and if you see this . :D)

(Still I suggest any other currently developed bot .. )

and even i have to admit ..
 
imho better not to use the 'gui' on CB ..
(when on  rc  the GUI works perfect now.. ;)

so be prepared for disasters & nights of tuning your CB if you wanna use the "good old RollsRoyce " in its full glory..
 and maybe more then that ... it uses a lot of "fuel"  and if i had a bigger hub .. (mine has about 50 users online at most)
i 'think' would use RC.    

so please .. dont advertize my hub!!! ;0)

It does not matter. GUIs are useless. :P

In your eyes maybe but most of all don't agree on that. It brings things to a higher level and more modern style. That suites better in the time 2005 where living in now. This is the new generation ya can't stop it.

Yes, for windows folks. But when it comes to setting things using notepad people just cannot do it - we all should be prepared for this facility, as *nix is becoming more and more popular and it will never be configurable 100% graphically.
If you get used to wizards too much, you are gonna die when there is no wizard. Altho there is nothing wrong with GUIs even if the best hubsoft is GUIless.
