ok, ive been working on a new Hub Security bot called Chibi-Chibi. its way better than my last one, cuz it can do so much more

ive tested it in several hubs, and its very stable and uses little momory at all, and about the same (maybe less) bandwidth than a DC++ client

but if I understand correctly, your bot will kick the user if it founds one off the things you have chosen to detect. But that can cause problems, so can't you add so it will only report to ops if it finds anything. For example: if you choose to detect & kick child porn, then it might also kick user that shares like the anime serie kiddy grade, which isn't child porn. there is also mp3 songs that has words like teen and child, they will get kicked to :S so a option that report to ops intead of kicking would be good if it was added.

I'm wondering about 3 things in chibi chibi =

1)  ruri, what does chibi chibi consider as share faking? does it only check if there is to many zeros and check if the real share size is o or -1? or does it also check the share size difference? well, if it check share size difference, I hope it doesn't kick users with only like 2% share differnce, because they might just have forgotten to refresh their share.

2) the kazaa file check, does it kick everyone with .dat files or does it also check for a pattern in the file name to identify if it really is a kazaa file?

3) hmm, I see that you can specificlly block dc++ 0.666, is there something very wrong with that version? If it is, why don't block version 0.403 and later, because they does massive MyInfo spamming when they are hashing.

1) chibi checks for sizes with too many 1's 2's 3's etc, aswell as dodgy amounts like 123456789, 98765432 etc. and also dodgy amounts like 12121212 or 2323234545.... you get the picture

2) chibi will check to see if a file has the string 'download' and '.dat' in the file name. these are usually kazaa files, although there may be a few bugs in it (one has just been reported to me)

3) 0.666 is an unstable client, and some hubs reject it because of this. as for 403+ thats going in the next release. i was going to put in in 104, but forgot ^_^;; lol

hmm... I'm wondering about another thing, the hub flooder detection, what things does it really stoop? does it do the same things as deflood 4.5.4, or does it even stoop more hub flooders?

EDIT: I remebered another thing while lookin in the settings. the slot facking detection, what kinds off things does it look for? does it look for users which disconnect you immediately on connection, if the stated slot number is incorrect, timeouts or even the slot faking that does your download from the faking user unstable?

EDIT 2: noticed two bugs:
1) if you make the chibi chibi share box empty(no numbers or letter) or put a letter instead of a number, you get this error message = Run-time error '13': Type mismatch

2) this is just a very small graphical mistake, but the upper edge of the port setting box is missing it's black line  ;)

at the moment, the hub flooder detection only gets the most commonly used ones, but the next release gets the ones deflood cant spot (because me and meka wrote 99% of the flooders used, we know what you need to do to detect them) hehe

with the slots, it checks whether they have a strange slot count i.e 100/100 slots or 0/100 or 0/0.. u know, something weird. thats as far as ive got with that so far ^_^

Is DC++ 0.667 and 0.668 stable? If not, then you might need to change the kick funtion for DC++ 0.666 to =
DC++ 0.666-0668

EDIT: 0.668 is stable, so a blocking of 0.666-0.667 would be good.

im using SOCKS5 proxies to connect but the bot isnt kicking me....

not much i can do at the moment, as it only seems to be a select few computers it uses that much CPU

it runs quickly and efficiently with 1 or 2% at max

ill have a look into it, but most of the computers ive run it on, or others have run it on work great

ruri makes all sorts of programs... just that the hub flooders are more popular and most of the DC population only know me for my flooder progs... thats why im trying to commercialize this security bot

why not make it open source so pessimist can read/look at it and trust more in you .. closed source from a former flooder progger. seems a bit mystic...

wouldn recomend  any script, prog or whatever from Ruri_Ruri as long as he wount let the source cod be public, prolly it opens up one or more backdoor to your system, he tried that before
so be very careful if you still feel to test it

better not be so "malignant". i dled his work, and seeing this post i scanned it for viruses, nothing found. and he did a really great job. source is a personal preference IMHO. We should ask for PtokaX source as well. i know he made flooders but that predicts nothing. (Think of the fact that Age of Empires was made by M$. :D)

well in the update log it says the chat spam option is buggy and shouldnt really be used. only time you should really use it at the moment is if you are helping me debug ^_^

so best thing to do is un-check the spam abuse box

I dont know this Ruri guy,some stuff he did was reeal pain in the a.s for many of hubs on DC, but this thing he did chibi-chibi is very good BOT,i tryed that in some week now, and it works very stabile and works fast like hell,no one BOT or client can work so fast and with so litle memmory usage and CPU usage like this.
IM VERY IMPRESSED with this soft.
Hope some Linux/Unix BOT its comming lookalike chibi-chibi  ;)

next update will be an important one. due to the growing amount of child porn, ive had a few requests to make chibi log everything about a found user, create a report in txt format and either try and make chibi report it, or let ops acess the txt file :)

this is a very big update and addresses alot of issues ppl have sent me. the main one being hub destroyers can get in, and spam. so ive sorted that out (alot more so anyway)
and in this version, if chibi find a suspected child porn file it will make a report and then kick the user
the report includes: nick, hub, offending file and directory, size of offending file, and TTH of the offending file.

can you find out all the reasons it kicks ops..
maybe i missed a few lines of code out to check if the user is an op or not

It kicks em 4 using a diallowed client eg 0.403 but I don't want it to kick em, jus the users.

a simple way around it is in the hub profile settings, make it so chibi isnt allowed to kick ops

meanwhile ill have a look and see why chibi is kicking ops :\

Another coupla things, it only lets me add one nick to the permanant immune list, the rest go in temp column, and also a coupla users got kicked for using "destroyers". What are they? I only know of flooding tools which they weren't using  ?(

the exceptions must be a bug if it goes in the perm list, only ops go in the perm list, any users added go in the temp list
and as for the destroyers, most of my old destroyers could have been detected with a "?" (not a space, but an alt key).... plop never figured this... and this was the easiest way to stop them ;) as for some of the others (KNUCKLES, Azurewaters etc) their ban is based on their sharesize

EDIT: so in short, make sure nobody has the alt space in their description ^_^

1 of em has the ALT space in their description and 2 have it in their nick, does that mean this BOT cant be used because of them ?

Maybe it sounds strange but i miss everyone quitting DC and in the depths of my soul i have to agree. DC is not what is used to be 1-2 years ago. If somebody asked me about the details i could not explain but in november & december i already felt some bad taste. Moreover, the only thing i miss it for is the company of those few ppl i really like to discuss with,
