Title: DC++k CDM
Post by: Roy on 03 December, 2003, 10:16:40
A new version of DC++k is available. There is a new developer that have started to work on it   :P

DC++k CDM (http://freespace.virgin.net/dcplusplus.kcdm/)

A clean install of dc++ 0.251 before adding the binary isn't a bad idea. I had problems with high cpu usage when i mixed this one with the old. Now it runs smooth

After it's installed open favourite hubs and tick it so it reports the clients u want to be reported and enter the name of your op chat.

later (after u have scanned the hub) u can type +info "nickname" in op-chat, and the bot will tell some info about the client like this:

[08:38] <[OP]Roy> +info McGe
[08:38] McGe is using DC++ his Lock is: EXTENDEDPROTOCOLABCABCABCABCABCABC his Pk is: DCPLUSPLUS0.301ABCABC I have not got his filelist yet

or this:

[08:20] <[OP]Roy> +info tooslo
[08:20] tooslo is using oDC++ his Lock is: EXTENDEDPROTOCOLABCABCABCABCABCABC his Pk is: DCPLUSPLUS0.25ABCABC I downloaded his filelist at 7.00 kB/s

Developer have worked to solve the security problem and says he thinks it's fixed now. Though he wont in any way guarantee it. Use it at own risk.  Enjoy!  :D

*feedback* yes it do crash with c++ runtime error after a while, so consider it beta hehehehe, but it seems he is improving and debuging it "regulary"  :P

does this dc++k only work with 0.251 or is it a stand-alone?

cause the versions i have used dont seem to like me  as they disconnected randomly from my hub.

and i do like the program but if it is disconnecting at own will it is no use to me.

:)

theres a new version

*** DC++k CDM v1.3 *** (http://www.ukdnb.dsl.pipex.com/dcpluspluskcdm/)

Removed all the useless checkboxes in favourite hub properties.
Split the description and tag into seperate columns in user list as in the latest versions of dc++.
Added two columns for IP and Host (you will only see these if you are an OP).
Added much more info to +info . Including IP, Host, Supports + more.
Hopefully a little more stable (its been running here for the past 10 hours without problem).

Sorry if ppl have been having trouble getting on my site... works fine here :S

QuoteAnother thing, it cant find other dc++K vesrions or DCPRO :((

it can detect dc++k 0.177 and probably older versions. newer versions are pretty much undetectable

as for DCPRO, read the readme file.... it should show DCPRO in userlist, but this is untested.

have you seen a DCPRO user in your hub and my client hasn't detected it?
if so, what did it say in the userlist/+info?

please post your comments in the DC++k forum  (http://www.imperialnet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=164)  as thats the one i check the most.

If u dont mind i prefeer to do the post in here..

My guess would be that the fakers use the latest releases of what ever they can get..hihi

And yes we tested the DCPRO with a "handmade tag" and this client reported just what we had wrote in the tag...but maybe i have wroong :)) it has happend b4 (i think)

Thanks MrZ, i can't code or stuff like that so when i find something interesting that isn't mentioned on this forum i like to share what i've found, in that way i can help out making the forum up to date regarding dc related stuff  :)

I will not answer on the behalf of psf8500, but i think we should use the proper forum for dc++k questions about the client, remember that other that use dc++k goes to that forum and we can't expect that psf8500 should do double posts both here and there. sign up on the dc++k forum, it takes 2 minutes doing so, and bookmark it  ;)

btw i really like the newest version of dc++k  :P
great work, i have a couple of questions, but i will post them in the dc++k forum

Hia:))

Optimus, my guess is that u just put in a RAW command in the right side in the box of the client u want to detect.

I Dont use it my self at the moment but i can get some RAW's 4 ya if u need.

Common raw commands (http://www.fukt.bth.se/~k/dcpp/howto/raw_commands_and_you.html)

btw there is a 2.3 out now too

I'm using v1.8 - there is no checkbox for automatic detection, u have to do a rightklick on the user and coose get user response

but an good idea to give a checkbox 4 automatic userresponse

you need to put in raw commands in each according to what action you want taken. For instance ,

<%[mynick]> !kick %[nick] |

<%[mynick]> !kill %[nick] |

<%[mynick]> !kick %[nick] |

you get the idea, btw thanks for Robo, it is tops.
