I have a script to only allow DC++ users only, and it works great but now have a problem in allowing a good friend into my hub as he only has a Mac system.

I would like to be able to let him in but still maintain a DC++ hub.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

also allow dcgui, and make him use that.
dcgui is free for linux/mac except for windows you need 2 pay for the QT windowing system.
here you can find dcgui.

Is this what he should use, didn't say anything about

this being for mac.

dcgui-osx-x11-0.2.20.tar

thanks again

yep, for mac there are 2 versions.
1 uses the QT windowing system and that 1 you found is using the mac native windowing system.
here you can find all the stuff/info about how 2 make your scripts support dcgui.
as many ppl make still the same mistake about the limiter i'll tell it again.
S:3L:20 in the tag doesn't mean the user is limiting @ 20KB/s  in total like bcdc++, but he is limiting @ 20KB/s PER slot.
in this case it means 60KB/s total.
the posted functions allready calculate the total limiter speed so you can use the bcdc++ settings.

I have a simpler solution in this case.

Put an if not before the disconnect/kick action where you check the nick to no to be the one of your friend

be sure to register your friend and maybe to choose apassword for him

If he is going to be an OP then use the if not operator  instead of what above (sorry I'm not a coder but I've seen the OP variable is available)

and a request...

Is there is a reference for the ptokax variables and APIs? And... where is the link?

thank you

Robert
