Can there be a new topic for betatesters only.
Where only the beta testers can post or respond and not all people (like the ones who are NOT testing it)
To exchange real good experience and keep others posted of bugs.

sounds like a good idea.
just the old thread in news has 2 stay, pcaz never sayd that he has enough beta testers so new testers have 2 be able 2 signup.

i have an idea:
is it possible for the board admin to create a sort a sideboard where nobody sees or a password protected
thread, beta testers thread should be for beta testers.
ohh and every couple of days post some kind of progress report to everyone.
u see the problem is, if the beta releases are getting out, then some fadt twat will give out the thread password :((
but its a great idea i think to have a betas only area

hiding it fully is not a good idea, also non beta testers would like 2 know whats going on.
but it is posible 2 restrict only betatesters 2 post msg's in that section.
add all the beta testers in a special group and your done.

That's what i mean.
People may read it, but don't have to respond all to it (only the beta testers should be able to post to it)
For the other thread, let it online, for further needs of extra beta testers or to get some info and respond there for non testers.

i disagree, if its hidden, and beta testers only see it, then its fine, but if non-beta testers find out that its got a new features thats real good, they will want the beta version asap......if its hidden and they dont know, they wont become so excited......just my thoughts...

there whill always be such guy's/girls/aliens.
whether you hide it or not you'll get such posts (just on another place on the forum).
and for ppl who never been 2 this forum it may look like there is no development.
if they can read it they know this is not true.
if they post elsewhere something that they want 0.3.3.0 asap or even now, you as mod can trow a bucket of cold water over them telling them 2 patiently wait.
in extreme cases you can close those threads.
but it won't mess up the beta part.
beside that couple unpatient users there are lots of patient users, that last group shouldn't suffer from the way the 1st group acts.

As long as not all posts get mixed up, i don't mind if regular users can read it.
The forum admin can contact ptaczek to give all beta testers a e-mail with their password to access posting in this new topic or can get a list of the current beta testers from him.
