as we all know we are under attack by folks who think they are funny when thay crash our hubs and computers.

well i got hit again lastnight; and after reading the post from phatty i tought it could be a good idear to have a topic about hackers in the sence that we post info about the ones who did this.

wich progggie he used if we can fnd that out

that way we could have a kind of database of folks wich we have to keep an eye out for.

Anyway, a MUCH better solution may be self evaluation. Why are these people attacking hubs? Probably because an operator was on a power trip and pissed them off. After people are very quick to kick/ban/flood or just be an ass.

I know I have been VERY tempted to take down a hub after a OP rubbed me the wrong way.

hmm i kinda stand behind u on that one, but still if they get banned then it means banned dont come back looking for trouble otherwise u might just get pissed of by someone go back for trouble and make trouble with the wrong dude

my opinion on this selfevalution thing is that your correct m8

but there is mostley the choice to send an e-mail with your complaints and to solve the problem that way.
or to look for a user who is in that hub and ask him to tell the owner what happened; there are so many ways and possibillitys to get your complaints to the right person.

but this wasnt about users beiing banned but about users of dc who takes down the hub.

for examplle if i walk in your city and i think you did me wrong would you approve that i took a gun and shoot you in your leg or wold you like it better that i talk to you and explain why i feel so?

so now we come to the folks who are doing this on purpose just pure out of fun to see if they are ablle to do so if THEY wish TO DO SO.

i think that when that happens we need to strike back and let them see that they cant get away with such a behaviour.

Tho i saw examples that 2 hubs where driven too a war against each other by a laughing 3th person.

should the person who's attacking not seek for a normal not childesh way too solve his issue first.

Banned : When you are banned you cannot re-enter/re-do the activity you were banned from, ie do not go back,

if ur an ass in someone elses hub then sure u'll get banned, if u get banned by accident or for some shit that someone told an op, then say to urself fk that hub, ill go to another, dont say fk that hub and drop it,

as for eternal lamer, seems to me, he just a yellow belly sitting in his room tossing off to porn vids, dropping hubs and just pissing ppl off, and personally i honestly dont give 2 shites, what he says or what he does, as i got 1 hell of a feeling i know who it is, and if im right, i'd like to be de-modded here..........as i dont like helping ppl to get rid of lamers that act lame themselves........

Yeah thats true. Everyone thats said they were going to hack my hub always said crap about hub crashers and stuff. They use other peoples stuff to crash hubs.. Thats lame, i bet they couldn't even make there own so they use there "tools" to try take down a hub.

I can understand why some ppl get angry for getting kicked. Some times ppl get kicked by mistak. But if you get kicked by mistak, take contact with the owner and im sure you will get a dialog going. If not just pick another hub to be in. Why would anyone like to be in a hub that arent nice against users.

But often it is not the ppl that get kicked or banned that makes trouble. It is ppl that just randomly picks a hub without any reason.  Thats why i think it is a good ide to have a list over ppl that are known to make trouble in hubs. Not only to protect the hubs but also keep the hubs nice and clean for users that are out there to meet new friends and share files.

Personally I take each case on its merits... Just because a user is a tosser in one hub does not strictly say that it will carry onto another hub.. This is just another form of prejudice and censureship that I believe the online community should avoid..

In my experience if you put down food mice will come.. best not to put down the food in the 1st place..

I had my hub trashed about 5 nights ago, I reset the hub, I have written code to defend against it...
I hold no malice as there is little I can do against the millions of fkwits that are out there wishing to cause anarchy.

All I am saying is that if you stir up a shitstorm its gonna come bite you in the arse.. As the adage goes "He who shouts loudest, becomes the first target"

We should not accept it, but then again is a vigilante type approach not just sinking to their level ?  
If an Owner of a hub gets his hub trashed... whats the damage, they are all backed up, they can be rectified mainly by a reboot... ok so you lose some uptime... If this were a business or a lifeline than maybe worth bothering about... but after all said and done... its a Hub..

don't take it all 2 serious, we all do it for the fun.
and everything they try only has the oposite result, bugfixes are made so there tools don't work anymore.
beside that there are tools 2 automaticly restart the hub on a crash, so it's a waste of time for there side.
