some force is nearly always needed, for example my crap compraq laptop has screws but also clips.
i currently have no idea where i left the screws but thats no prob as the clips hold everything 2gether.
and i can remember the same thing from opening a sony laptop from a friend.

Cheers plop  ..

i did  kinda give it some force  ..  but if you know the laptop youll realise why i am very weary of forcing it ..

anyway  i found out its not any sort of standard HD  in it

so im left with the only option of ordering a Firewire CDrom Caddy..

all i wanna  do is  reinstall the thing  lol

Heya peeps  ..

ok  ive hit another Hurdle

First   Sony's  i-link  is  ever so slightly different to Firewire  and will only let the computer boot from
Sony's I-Link products...  and there ????

so  By means of a 4mm drill and a little Brute Force i managed to Prise it appart ..

ok so heres the new Hurdle..

How the F#*% do i connect This Little Drive (http://www.costcentral.com/proddetail/Toshiba_MK2004GAL/HDD1422/C99526/)  to a Standard ata socket  ....

Any Help would be greatfull...

again  im just about  Googled out   :(

Cheers
