Hey PPK,
Just found an error when using frmHub:SetMinShare().
try this in script ...
frmHub:SetMinShare(1048576, 0) ...
Ptokax sets the sharesize rule to 0 Bytes when this is executed! It should convert the size automaticly.
In laymen terms:
frmHub:SetMinShare(1048576, 0)
should be the same as
frmHub:SetMinShare(1024, 1)
when it currently is the same as
frmHub:SetMinShare(0, 0)
This means when saving a ptokax sharesize rule i have to do a routine like so for it to save...
[B]This code is taken from cSlave's Profile Settings Addon[/B]
-- Convert sharesize data for buggy ptokax input!!!!!!
local iSize = cSlave.Profiles.PtokaxRules.iMinShare
local iType = 0 -- Bytes
-- Check if bytes conversion can break down once more
while iSize >= 1024 do
-- Increment iType
iType = iType + 1
-- Reset sharesize to conversion
iSize = iSize / 1024
end
-- Reset Ptokax share, slots and hubs settings
frmHub:SetMinShare(iSize, iType)
When it should be as simple as
frmHub:SetMinShare(cSlave.Profiles.PtokaxRules.iMinShare, 0)

If it helps, i was playing with a $To: .. . $From: raw command. I pasted the raw i was using into main chat, and then when i copied / pasted the commands being received from User / Chat window, that's when the error cropped up. :)
Basically sommit like this: (Last line displayed in main)
shorter version of that raw :) $To: %[nick] From: %[mynick] $<%[mynick]> You suck|$To: %[mynick] From: %[mynick] $<%[mynick]> %[nick] totally sucks|
Then when i pasted sommit like this is died.
- [16:11] Pothead (xx.xx.xx.xx) > $To: kickme From: Pothead $ You suck|
- [16:11] Pothead (xx.xx.xx.xx) > $To: Pothead From: Pothead $ kickme totally suck|
(what i pasted might have contained $ and | if that makes any difference)
what about rmdc users....these users cant connect hub

for linux there is dcgui aka valknut. heard that you could also make it work on windows. anway, it can acces ptokax, but its a buggy client anyway, Im blocking that client in my hub.
Just a couple I know of right off the top of my head are LDC++ and Strong DC++.
Which can be found here http://strongdc.berlios.de/index.php?lang=eng and here http://ldcpp.berlios.de/
No doubt there's plenty more to this list. . but if you were using rmDC++ either of these will more than likely cover your bases.
Try >>here<< (http://dcmods.no-ip.org/)

New Ptokax sent longer $Lock string than the previous version, so the hubsoft weren't detected correctly as Ptokax and handled that way. The pinger is now updated to detect the new lock format.

Hub description does not affect on pinging (other than setting the share/slot limits). The hubsofts are mostly detected from the $Lock strings.
