I think Windows 2003 Standard Edition is best esp if u have Intel P4 Hyper Threading technology. It works much faster and better for Ptokax i feel :)

i love 2k adv server, specialy after some twaeking.
getting rid of all the useless services so you get the max amount of free resources for ptokax.
and offcourse changing a bunch of settings 2 make it a bit more secure (stays windows so making it really secure is imposible).

nice to hear plop. Does it make any diff comparing ptokax on windows 2000 and advanced server 2000 ?

I know it wud for other apps, but for ptokax?

some registry settings are different in sever editions, by default they can handle more connections more easy.
by default server editions give priorety 2 services, workstations 2 apps, but both can be switched.
2k pro is for workstations.
