I was wondering if ne1 could make a script by which, the users who increase thier share by fake share could be detected or diconnected.
It shld kick those who use fake share. It is really annoying.
and whats fake share? non hashed shows as 0 bytes till filelist refresh? does that look like fake?
GreyLink DC++ has a built-in function to generate the fake share
list of files looks like this...
can not download these files, but there are fake files with a trojan virus
often these files are rar, exe. Video or music files are not downloaded
they are not fake, they are real trojans,mostly same size for all files, and not only greylink users, they often use tag from Apex to, ban IP looks most comfortable way to get rid of them..
can better prevent the script input, the user does not supply the actual share, for example to prohibit in the proportion of the files have the same size or files consisting only of rar or exe.

1. User does supply actual share (only trojans)
2. disallowing .rar or .exe files wont work nor kick or ban on it
3. do your job as operator, check share and ban ;D
Ban the client, get a crew client there can check for fake clients/share...
Great idea Hamachi, but..
First problem.. howto ban the client? they are using tags for most common clients.
Second problem.. nothing fake on the files.. their real, only trojan files.
Third problem, who's stupid enough to be online and checking 24/7? :-)
What hub protocol use you ?

I have find a easy road to find GreyLink, but it is in adc protocal.
In nmdc hubs i have find some road too, but the client can hide them :(
But it is easy to see if they try emulate to airdc :D
If you open Ptokax system log, you can see what the client send :)
Whats wrong with GreyLink? plz read the posts before you reply.
And the PtokaX system logs only shows when server was started and stopped..
Your either talking Bull or using something Not PtokaX..

See what GreyLink send to the hub, what the other clients do..
Thats not the client, thats the user using its faking skills.. why ban all users with GreyLink instead of the one faking?
The client can fake slots, don't response on search, fake share, use other users-list etc...
If you only like to remove bad files use http://forum.ptokax.org/index.php?topic=7405 then.
I didn't ask for help.. and if you want a real faking client, try RuRi Dc :P
Its only B*llSh*t to ban a client for a few users faking files, Owners and Op's should do their job, its not "just" a key, it has a purpose..

also if sum1 dl that fake share it is undeletable
its deletable, you only need to allow your virus scanner to delete them
