Title: windows socket error in Ptokax
Post by: REBEL on 08 September, 2004, 17:32:30
I run 3 Ptokax hubs TD4 on same server with different port numbers ,  411  4411  1411
I have done so for over a year now with no problems.
for the last month i have been getting socket error 859 some number like that which obviously crashes the hubs.
I even reinstalled complete new Ptokax hubs td4s
and still get this socket error. Im not running a router or firewalls. just pccellian scanning my server as my ISP does have a firewall their end.
dont know if i posted in right place but please any ideas :)

those have nothing to do with your Hubsoft.....

They are only for the Hublists nothing more, nothing less....

try this Line as Regserver in your Hubsoft:
reg.hublist.org;dreamland.gotdns.org;vandel405.dynip.com

have no help to offer :/ but this is the explain to the 3 diff errors if it leads you anywhere...

10048=
Address & port already in use. Typically, only one usage of each socket address (protocol/IP address/port) is permitted. This error occurs if an application attempts to bind a socket to an IP address/port that has already been used in another application.

10053=
An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine, possibly due to a data transmission time-out or protocol error.

10058=
An operation on a socket could not be performed because the system lacked sufficient buffer space or because a queue was full.

10/09/2004 17:45:10 - [ERR] UDP Socket bind error: 10048
these are caused because udp port 413 is inuse by some other app.

sorry didn't see your 1st post earlyer.
your running 3x TD4 on 1 computer.
on that version the udp port is locked (413).
this means you can only run 1 instance of TD4.
icecube doesn't have this udp port so you can run those side by side.
