i gues it depends from which country you are but on the other side i think for the real answer you need 2 look up the czechian (how the hell do you spell that) dictionary.
but then i guess it also differs 2 what dialect you speak.
it's a question which is hard 2 imposible 2 answer as writing it phonetic doesn't work because again every1 whould still say it differently because of there native language/dialect.

Ptac  made up the work PTokax....
so in reality there is no definate way to
pronounce it, so..........
-pronounce every letter
-skip every other letter
-just say one syllable
and you should be right.
just type it right.....and you should be good.

here lemme give it a shot....

pretty good huh.

Not that it really matter but for the record your talking too a she and she is not 12. very repected on the old forum since she helped lots ppl with lua. Also she was the top poster there. So picking on her won't get you in a very good daylight :P

well with much  deliberation and Sleepless nights i managed to work it out.


lets  take the word   Ptokax  and brake it down....

ok starting with the " P"

takin it to accout that it precedes a " T " i found it difficult to say so further research turned up proof of this.

heres just a couple out of the many words that seem to drop the " P " for some unknown reason.

Psyche - the human mind or soul.
Pteropod- a small marine mollusc.

A total waste of a perfectly good " P " if you ask me.

so now weve esablished that the " P " is silent we are now left with  Tokax.
 
so lets now look at the " T "

well further searches found that this is also silent both  Tsar and Tsarina words prove this point.

well  now  i was  seeing a pattern to this  so i researched and researched further and after more sleeples nights it came to me in a flash.  take these following words.

Ousel  ( pronounced  U.Z.L )
Oust  ( pronounced aust )
neither word actually using the O as it should be but actually using it in place of letters that would most suit words like that for it to be spoken correctly.
so i decided that the O should also be dropped as its proper use is Unknown.

Knight , Knock  are just a couple that dont pronounce the " k "

aerial ( erial ) , aerie ( eyrie ) ,  both seem to neglect the fact that theres an  " A "  in front.

that just leaves us with the " X "  i was at first fooled by the word Xenon in to thinking that  Ptokax is actually pronounced  " Z "  but why break a perfectly simple chain of research?

the word Xhosa fails to pronounce both the " X " and the " H " and instead uses a " K ".  so the " X " is silent here.

so finding these words convinced me the " ptokax " is actually pronounced   "             ".



what! you missed it ?   let me show you again this time i'll underline it .... "______".



ok so the word PTOKAX  Is not for the Spoken language its a word that can only be documented, NOT Spoken.

which confuses me a little to say that most of the advertising of PTOKAX is " Word of Mouth "..... figure that one out  hmmmm.

anyway i hope everyone can now sleep better for knowing.

but this leads us on to another greater question..........


HOW THE HELL AR WE SUPPOSED TO PRONOUNCE   " ptaczek ".


i have a theory for this but its not conclusive yet..

It's not so difficult for me in Italy...

  Pto-ka-x

Pto -> sounds like pteropode
ka  -> sounds like Karma
X  -> sound like "ks"

Oh my... ;DDDDDD This thread fired me totaly out laughing and rolling! You people are crazy beings and I really love you! Let's continue and meantime I think I'll prepare some audio samples of how Im pronouncing this incredibly stupid artificial word.
The fact is that the word means absolutely nothing even in my language and was sythesized as a permutation of several czech words including my nick Ptaczek. And I must admit that some weed was behind it all ;)  But pssssst!

After crying with laughter from reading this thread, I'm surprised no-one has commented that the word PtokaX sounds remarkably like the Klingon language.

P-to-kax as its writed (in Finland we spell it like it is writed)
but anyway it's usually called as po-tas-ka (what is not so kind word, y(n)hub and verli users say that)

maybe iam bit late in this topic... ;)
