Hi:

I am thinking about migrating to Ptokax, however I was wondering:

If there is a feature where I can share a min share before the user can download? Similar to VH's minshareusehub option. Such that the user can connect, chat, but not download or search

If there is already a pre written script that logs all chats (main chat, and PM to keep the university's administrations happy)

If I can encrypt the user's passwords

Thanks
Bill

For the min. share, there are scripts that do exactly what you want. As far as chat/PM logs go, it can also be scripted, however I do not consider PM logging a fair thing.
User password encryption: IIRC PtokaX stores checksums of passwords only, but when the client enters the hub, the authentication itself is not encrypted. (I don't know if the protocol supports it at all, I think it does not.)
Everything could have been anything else and it would have just as much meaning.

No, it is not fair, but it will only be read/used if the court of law/police demands it due to an active investigation.

I guess I shall haunt those down :)
