only my dad run it as on this beta versions you need that special developed pegasos mainboard.
the final releases should run on anything.
it has 64Bit filesystem wich makes it posible 2 use bigger drives then windows xp and folowup's can use (only 48Bit).
there is allready a special office version under development.
adobe and corel are not avail but no problem, we have way more advanced painting apps then those 2.
photogenics, art effect, imagefx   etc..
what the latest versions of corel/adobe can do could allready be done for years on those 3 other programs.
mozilla is currectly being ported 2 it, plus some more browsers like Voyager.
ptokax is the only problem so far as i haven't seen a i386 emulator yet.
but there always be some1 willing 2 make it.

beside this morphos and amigaDE there is another project running namely amigaONE.
this is about the same as morphos/pegasos.
it also needs a special mainboard for the beta's, and just like morphos it's gone run on any cpu/mainboard in the end.
they all use standard pc/mac hardware.
this because developing new graphics chips/hardware like the old amiga's had is 2 expensive these day's.

if you wanne start testing it you can find shops who sells the beta boards on the website or contact computer city .
that last is a shop here in the netherlands wich is shipping all over the globe.

* note for phatty: yellow dog linux is underneat the morphos beta's 2 speed up development.

after the P3 it indeed went downhill with intell.
a friend of mine has a dual P3 1k and that wipes my P4 1600@2138 from the table.

i also think that this is due the bus speed of the motherboards that is hardly become any faster.

both our fsb's are 133Mhz.
he has normal 133 SDram and i have 800 RIMM(over clocked).
we are both running the rc5-72 client and he runs 6+Mkey/s while i just reach 2.9Mkey/s.
looks from this that the p3 1k is about as fast as a p4 2k.
should do some more compairing with him like both encoding the same movie 1 avi.

I love microsoft, easy to use lotsa programs.

+ the best thing to install just hit next next next finished.

not grep something else. that failed you need to install this tar -zxvf , "./setup -net then you find you need another package and there goes 4 hours. then you reboot there is another 10 minutes.  8o
