our hub's are on yhub 2, but couple day's ago it went crazy on the main hub.
restarting it didn't solve it (nasty bug droping users with 400-500 @ a time).
2 solve it i launched the beta and lot's of ppl started 2 chear, they loved it.
there was a little lag but they totaly didn't care for it.
as soon as 0.3.3.0 is released there gone step back 2 ptokax.
everyday the hub owners ask me the same question "any news on ptokax?".
for the vikingshub i can best quote odin: no scripts no fun.
he loves ptokax/my bot so much he doesn't even wanne think of changing.

Which will not have a:
- Webserver  
------ can be missed indeed as i personaly use apache
- Script Editor Section that might take away the memory
------ won't free much memory but can indeed be missed.
- Remove Any Unuseful features for an intermediate user?
------ again personal opinion, full rules and bot's section can be removed, as my bot does it all and more.
- Less in size,Memory usuage, CPU usage?
------ this should be done anyway.

Maybe have new features that is added to it ?
- Built in IP Range Ban ?
------ can be handy indeed
- Built in Anti Advertiser / censorbot ?
------ in my eyes a bit useless, my bot has sneaky anti adver but it's not used.
- Built in Client blocker? For like reading DC Tags? so no need for external scripts?
------ the beta can allready kick everything without a tag

As for me, I am in here several times / day but don't post very much since I feel WAY to unskilled for many of the questions, aswell as I feel skilled for some of them but those are usually already answered. But I always read most of the new posts when popping in here. All I can say is that Ptokax ROXX and I really hope the board will live on...

I would say, i was like this as well at early times.. I just  read the new post, never post a reply to any threads..

I would like to tell every newbies, or anyone who is not a programmer.. There is no need to worry whether u can code or not.. You have more than enough sections  to reply to .. In General Section, In OffTopics, In many other areas..

Doesn't Matter whether you can speak english properly. Infact I am not an English guy And I am only learning english for the past  2 years.. So don't sit there watching , while others playing the game..

Just a little contribution for the Ptokax Team.. So it will be alive..

Come on guys.. No one is going anywhere.. I used every hub soft, even YHub but non can beat Ptokax.. Plus I was amazed with the Forum when i came in.. It was so exciting... and i loved to ask for help here as many here is so nice to each other..

PS: Taking 5 mins a day for the forum, would keep the Ptokax and LUA forum running forever..

well i can't say i spend 5 mins a day here.  lol
it's much more.
i try 2 help were ever i can, but the weird things is that while i'm unemployed i still have lack of time 2 do everything i want 2.
couple website's 2 maintain, users 2 help in 6 hub's, a.i. bot, and scripts 2 make/fix for users here, books 2 read, bugs 2 find.  lol
and like blazexxx says, doesn't mather how good or bad your english is every comment is welcome aslong as your not hurting some1 with it (keep respecting).
same can be sayd about scripts, even if the thread is answered your answer is still welcome.
it can be that your way is better/faster, from this every1 can learn (if not you can learn why).
personaly i rather help a newbie fix something then totaly fix it myself.
i hate it when some1 gives me a complete answer, i like hints so i have 2 find out how 2 solve it.
that way i can learn both the wrong and good way and understand better how things work.

Hmmm disagree in someplaces

first of all, i dont think the scripting tab will use much memory, not to mension i probably will get sick of using external progs as i am always editing scripts and this wud be more hassle for me and other constant scripters.......

iprange build in, disagree agen as this uses alot more memory then other features, now build in yes it will use less, but why have it in all the build in ptokax as alot do not use it, i certainly dont, and alot wont, so thats memory waster for me

build in client blocker a total nono for me, it will loose my interest on my new project :(, this part is for the scripters i believe.

webserver i disagree, sometimes i cant be arsed to set up apache i just prefere to run the webserver, and not to mension, removing webserver makes it more memory usage for small hub web sites, because why use a big external webserver wehen ptokax has a built in one...

well nice try..........but personally i hope these features stay very much the same..........

when i was a newbie by doing this i learned by mistakes, ppl wud say no thats wrong try that, and i wud say oh yep look what i just learned hehehe, anyways good luck


but now i have a admission...............i luv ptokax, but, i have a windows installation error, which stopped me from using ptokaax for some reason, meanwhile whilst i was building a better comp, i had to use YHub :( lol

now i have to admit...."Its pretty good afterall"

BUT..............

Now that my new comp up.ptokax is back on, and so much better then yhub still...........ptokax may use more memory which personally i dont notice............and ptokax is so more much phun and has such a nice community :)

that why i sayd "can be handy" on the ip range ban.
for ppl who use it it whil be faster if ptokax handles it instead of a script (c++ is faster then lua as you know), personaly i can miss it.
just i know odin used it 1x back in his nmdchub day's.
as for apache, i'm using a micro apache version.
i have 2 because i'm using lhtml.
everything ptokax can do on the webserver i have build into my bot.
this is extremely beta not gone say 2 much about this.
for the editor, try titmouse, it has nice syntax highlighting and inbuild debugger (also step debugger).
i just sugest blocking if no tag is found, didn't say proces the tag.
thats why i sayd that the rules/bot's tab can be removed totaly, everything in that can be disabled on my a.i. bot.
you may call me a crazy lua junky.  lol

I for one would like to thank everyone involved in this "New" Forum, i had just barely found the first forum when it Died. Never got a chance to interact with anyone there, but if the people involved here are any indication of what was........ Then i say we have the beginning of a Great thing here. The help I have received from individuals here has been Awesome. To those individuals i give my most sincere thanks, and hope I can return the favor to other newbies as i learn the in's and out's of the LUA Scripting language.

As for learning stuff here, I have done so, in so many ways. And I can only thank the DC community for it. Still learning a lot and now I am trying to get into LUA aswell, although time is a great enemy.

1498 hubs (ptokax according to hublist.org) means 1498 ?, that's not so much....

Now the scarry part is that on Oct 29 last year you could read the followings on the hublist.org:

Ptokax: 1775
Yhub: 663
NMDC: 588

Today:
Yhub: 1602
Ptokax: 1498
NMDC: 297

Now that is prolly why this forum looses users too, couse most of the users (requesting and thanking) were hubowners i gather....

Funny thing, ever looked att the members list on this forum? Only a precious few are posting and about 20+ pages with 0 posters... and you STILL don't get it why?

I kinda miss the "good old days", (read previous forum), nice clean, sensitive postings by a VARIETY of people, not just the same'ol same'ol.

i saw some1 complaining about nmdc hub on the dcgui forum last week. lol
the same old gadget bot still doesn't support anything else then dc++.
they told him 2 tell his friend 2 update the bot, i gave him a better advice "get a real hub". lol
