i know that there is already a script for imdb which shows a lot of data for a movie from imdb..
but that takes from internet..and till the result is out..the hub is hanged ..and my net is slow...so i wrote an offline imdb script...
i did copy all the taking values part from lUk3f1l3w4lK3R 's script http://forum.ptokax.org/index.php?topic=8691.0 (http://forum.ptokax.org/index.php?topic=8691.0) script...i dont know how parse in lua..
anyway....
get the ratings file from http://ftp//ftp.fu-berlin.de/pub/misc/movies/database/ratings.list.gz its imdb site and can be used (i guess)
extract it you will get a ratings.list file ..
now it has a lot of stuff...to parse..and i dont know lua properly so..
- first remove all the data till line number 297..that is the top 250 movies ones
- and all the license data at the ending of file
- then install python 2.6 or any 2.* version..and run yearparse.py with that...this generates a ratings2.list...
now this ratings2.list can be used with the script..
the script has 3 commands !imdb !imdball and !imdbh (similar) to lUk3f1l3w4lK3R script...it displays votes and movie names series
all series have a (tv) at the end....

No, we can't, the list is fine, you should adjust your clients settings to get a proper output.
Thats what i am asking is how could, how to adjust these settings to look good
by changing the clients fonts.
