I'm stuck, cant view these kind of files:
sorry to post it here, but not many good answers on dc yet. the film is running but no sound.
i think i will install all codecs again after uninstalling them first. any suggestions?
example: bob.ep01.dvdrip.xvid-deity.avi
anyone have some links to codecs and what i need to install and how to install them right?
Thanks in advance!
Roy
Use "gspot" to discover what codec you need...
Then download codec, and install it ;)
Btw, i don't suggest to use codecpacks ;)

i use ace mega pack 5.xx ...l never had any problems !
I use a program called Video LAN (http://www.videolan.org/) an open source video player that uses its own plug-ins instead of codecs. Also as the name suggests, you can view videos over a network.
I only download the codecs i use to encode. But hey, this is just me.

xvid is only video.
gspot whill tell you your missing an audio codec (most likely ac3).
installing ace or any other codec pack is only a good idea if you own a fast computer, it installs (a lot of) filters wich take a lot of cpu and won't clearly enhanche the qualety.
filters should only be used on encoding not decoding.
