help needed

this might sound stupid but do i need any special software to write lua scripts cos i cant seem to just copy and paste cods into word pad

just simply copy and paste code --> "save as" in scripts folder and give codename.lua

wordpad encodes its files because it follows a rich text format, simply use notepad instead or wordpad ;)
