I was just wondering if there are any scripters who would like to turn their work into a full blown GUI version. I am learning LUA but am far more in depth with VB. Please email me or PM me in the hub by using either links below :D c ya around

welcome Exile, happy new year...
possibly you'd also like to see how you may build GUIs with lua ... have a look at wxLua ... ( google ) it is not similar to vb but none the less it is lua ;)
Thanks for voluntering ....
Thankyou for the warm welcome Herodes, I'll give wxlua a lookover, this is the first I have heard of it. Anyway, the hub should be open shortly, just having some problems with my server. If anyone is interested in GUI's then Email me at btadiar@yahoo.co.uk, not the email address on my profile, use the link below preferably :D
Yours Exile
Would love to see a GUI for nsx-3 Version: 3.9a, or prehaps for darkminds!
hi welcome Exile happy new year indeed. I allready have a GUI but hey i'm not a VB guru. Maybe we all could learn some from you.
Hi Exile,
Just a question?
Are you specialised in GUI only or totally in vb.
If you are an expert in total vb contact for help on a new project!
Always can use a extra hand ;-)
Regards,
Troubadour
I know quite a lot of VB, I started off learning how to build GUI's for LUA scripts so this is my specialism, but i am up for anything really. I can quite easily learn along the way. What project did you have in mind? Opti, ur GUI's are always pretty sweet man, keep up the good work wiv RC9, wens 10 out :P. I'll have a look at this nsx bot, it would be a massive help if someone would email me a .ini for the script they want to be turned into a GUI, it would make my life easier :D
C ya around, Exile
thanks man, well i know that some of us are having little problems to find a good way the load/save lua tables in VB.
I and all others would be interrested what you can come up with.
Cheers Optimus :D

heres a small sample of my setting file ...
the loops involved in Loading and saving the table to Maby 2 x MultiLine text boxes and have the Vertical Scroll bars linked in some way.... so the Both boxes Stayed inline.
:) :) :)
??????Hawk??????
I'll take a look, but I don't actually know what you wanted me to do with your settings file? How are you trying to make this into a GUI? The way i did mine is to have a tabbed GUI and just have a page with 2 text boxes, 1 to write the original word in, and one to write the result in...
hi m8
yeh sure 2 text boxes is fine for a set ammout of Table entries .. BUT what when that list grows too big for the text boxes ???..
the idea of linking the Vertical scroll bars would then keep them all in line.. ( if it can be done ).
my other problem is using the same file for all the settings including the tables..
so i therefore need a way of Looping Until the end of the table and splitting the 2 table setting in each line to the 2 text boxes.
the looping is not a problem .. but the Lack of a strfind in VB..
im lookin at the beforefirst and afterfirst functions at the moment i think these are the way round getting the relevent info..
But still the linked scrolbars i havnt got a clue ...
??????Hawk??????
hmmm....i didnt think about the table growing, lol
ye that is a problem, and as i dont know lua fluently id have to have some time to learn the areas your querie considers, I'll have a look anyway for you, see if i can come up with a suggestion atleast
Truly,
Exile
VB6 doesnt support non fixd length arrays, I think this part of your script may either have to stay a fixed amount OR just leav it out of your GUI, and have the controls still available in the hub.
A lua table must be a static one if you're suppose to read it from VB, dynamic ones, a little harder :D
learn LUA API and wrap up a class for VB
Now i have my second opinion, I'm not up for learning LUA atm, im still finishing my encryption software. I should start work wiv shad_dow soon on a GUI for his latest creation, should be cool :)
