Title: Host cant connect!?!
Post by: Spudman on 01 March, 2004, 19:15:35
Hi Peeps

I REALLY need some help on this if anyone can. I have recently moved my hub to a host on a large connection, but he is behind a router. The problem is all can connect, except him!! He has tried to connect via internal IP as I thought that might help, but same, all he is getting is connection refused by target machine. Like I said I really need to fix this as he doesnt want to host if he can use the hub, and decent reliable hosts are not easy to find. So, if anyone can help me to set him up so he can connect to hub that he is hosting behind a router from a local address or something, then please help.

either 127.0.0.1 or his external IP..

I can get in in my own hub with my external ip, but i have no problems with the internal one...

tell him to try localhost:portnumber (If any)

It really is localhost, so don't replace it with an IP number
