I there a way to detect multi source dl mode. I?m haveing Linux and mac users who use DCGui-qt. The upload limit is farly easy to see and block but the multi source dl is the problem. There is an option for DCGui-qt for dl mode: ask, single or multi. I need to be sure that thay are useing single mode dl.
If it is possible to detect that than I need a script
If it?s not possible to detect that is there no other client that Linux and mac users can use without these options.
it's undetectable.
mac users can use nmdc, but for linux this is the only stable client.

dem X( .... is it possible to make a script that only allow users to have "x" many dl slots. I don?t wanna have to ban Linux and mac users. NMDC is going to have multi source dl in future versions too. X(

download slots aren't reported on any client i know off.
and you can expect dc++ 2 get multi sourcing 2, tth is something which is needed 2 make it work full proof.
many ppl think it's a bad thing but they forget a simple calculation.
6 ppl sharing 1 file:.
1x 60 minutes downloading on 1 guy does indeed only take 1 slot but and leave 5 free, 6 x 10 minutes do take 6 slots but those come free 50 mins earlyer and offer 7 sources 2 download from within 10 mins.
basicly if ppl would only share partial rar's any client can do multisourcing and things spread a lot faster.
and there is always the question: are those 6 slots really free (must be some crap shares if they are. lol)
