Ive got an op that for some reason cannot connect to my machine. but can connect fine anywere else on dc. the op see's the hubs motd, see's thier nick in the userlist (alone) but see's no other users and cannot recieve a pm from me. Ive tried the following:
1. dropped all firewalls(including a check on xp's fw and even disabled my peergurdian fw)
2. disabled scripts
3.Had the op try connecting as regular user
4.installed ptokax fresh in a new folder reusing only the registered users file
5.set up a test hub on another port (in this test the op got in fine so i set up YHUB and used its "second port" feature to let the op use and we thought it was fixed but next day same prob reoccurred and changing the port did nothing now <------wierdest part)
This op is behind a router and I do not accept ANY ICMP pacets to xp so im wondering if that could be problem with a "router solicitation" being requred from the ops router??????????????????
Now in a possibly related case, I cannot use ptokax hub because it crashes my machine after it runs for a few hours. but the crash does not happen ever if I use YHUB.

thats what i mean i tried everything its wierdest thing ive seen in four years of this stuff but i'll figure it someday.

for example i have seen chatonly somehow getting activated on dc++k CDM.
a good bot kicks ppl with 0 slots.

Plop is correct i think if he is useing DC++Kcdm that could be it or any other hacked/modded client.ask him what client he uses and if it is not DC++ or is DC++ under version0.307 ask him to get DC++.401 and try then.
