Title: crappy old software ?
Post by: lacisoft on 18 April, 2004, 13:22:08
We have here an internal network of 400 computers, the people already used DC for connecting to hubs ... but when i installed PtokaX those who have oDC 5.31 or DCGUI as DC Clients get a strange message like "We don't like crappy old software ... go get a new version " or something like that. Now my question is how can you say that their software is crappy and old when is much newer than your hub software ? And another thing ... there is nothing in the settings about this thing ... what if i want to let them in ? It is my problem after all if i want them in or not. If i can't resolve this thing i have to switch to another hub software because i cannot force them to change their software. If you know some tricks to avoid this ... i would be happy.

lol

first of all it is not pkotax refusing the clients to connect.
pkotax is just hub[server]software.

the fault has to be in the scripts your using.
so tell us wich scripts you,re using and then perhaps w can help you.

sorry, my mistake. It was the scripts. IceGuard v1.93 ... so they aren't anymore. And now it works with oDC 5.31 and DCGUI too. Thx for the idea and i aplogize for accusing PtokaX
