Title: Banning MAC adresses !
Post by: LordMetal on 07 June, 2004, 05:10:19
Hi
I'm new to this forum so hope this is the right place for my question.

Im wondering if it exists a script for banning mac adresses & if not, if it's a possibillity to create one.

Thanx in advance LordMetal

No and not easily.

The main reason no such script exists is MAC addresses are not sent past a router/switch. I could foresee a possible use for LAN users if you had someone really annoying, but an external application should be able to solve that problem (ban through a firewall).

Yes, we can put that right up there with banning based on XP serial, cause everyone should use it ;-)
