Had a flood 2 day, looks good that flooder,,, changed nicks after 2 floods and IP's also..looked like this:

Heya,
Speaking of Deflood... (awesome script btw) I'd need a few pointers: I haven't yet had our hub flooded (currently knocking on my table leg), should I use Deflood just in case, or should I wait until we actually get flooded? It looks like a pretty memory-intensive script, and I don't have too much of that particular currency, unfortunately.

Another thing is, I don't have a clear idea of what this script actually does during a hub's normal activity (ie. no flooder present). Should I warn users of hitherto unseen messages? Of previously authorized clients becoming suspects? In short, what to expect? Our userbase is rather solid, but small ;)

Edit: sorry, i realized after posting that i'm hijacking a thread... if it's a problem I'll find a better place to post ;)

Well, found one darn flooder that not even Deflood can stop  entirely ;(

Ok, deflood blocks and bans but this one keeps on coming in sending flood messages reconnects as a new user and starts all over again with another generated username.

Kinda looks like this in Mainchat or PM when it hits u.

Personally i am bored of this flooder topic...

There are perverted people who love to destroy what others build, be it even a DC hub.

Lets just say nothing, they can get rotten, as if we dont say a word, they will not get satisfied. If we come here shouting, then they reach their goal. If somebody is childish, no need 2 reply in a childish way, it is a "home field" for those bastards...

deflood 4.4.1 filters this as far as i know.
if not pls email me the flooder (zipped).

@ every1: post questions about deflood in the topic i made for it.
if you have info (pls more then only the chat log) about new flooders which bypase deflood, pls email it 2 me.
