Title: Foobar player Client-side script
Post by: aL1en on 06 November, 2004, 05:38:33
heya all !

Greetinz

Dunno if you guys know the foobar music player..
www.foobar2000.org

I'd like request that feature of /winamp command on mainchat to display the current playing track but for foobar..

If anyone could script a plugin for bcdc++ maybe.. to add on startup.. some /foobar command..

Anyone can help? :)

Thnx

Hi aL1en:

I've never heard about foobar , but i think it's this one:

http://www.foobar2000.org/

What i did like , about this software , was the 3 available versions :

-Lite (837KB)
-Normal (1.29MB)
-Special (2.38MB)

I have to "give it a try"....because i still have 166MHz Pentium.
Thanks for the "tip" and good luck with the script !!!!
Really hope "the scripters" can convert the winamp script to foobar.
Good Luck.    :D

btw: Just for curiosity...do "you guys" have a shoutcast radio server ?

Boas CableGuy :)

I think a good version is the -Special (2.38MB).. it has some more supported format extensions..
And about the soutcast server.. i hit the serch button here and found a topic with wombat explaining some.. sounded wery intersting.. also in the results gor the link of rmDC++ from Mutor.. nice.. was just testing it :) (good interactivicy with winamp, but thats far from more than needed)

boom @ Mutor..
u thinking big with "Command line switches:
/add /play /pause /prev /next /rand /stop /exit /show /hide /config /command: /playing_command: "

heheheh .. i was thinking at fisrt just a script to "say in mainchat" (like !me or +me) to display the current playing track..

Thnx

Yo Mutor..

Thats far much more information than my 'script knowledge' (none) hehehe

Well.. you think u can handle something to display the track that is being played in the hub? i mean.. no need play/stop the foobar from within the dc client.. ;)

the time 0.306 was made foobar still had an api.
btw check out the foxytunes extension for firefox, it can controll foobar and a lot of other players from the lower window bar of firefox (set it 2 winamp when you use foobar).

also foo_winamp_spam makes it possible to control with dcdm++, so worth using it.

Hi again:

R1CH's foobar2000 Plugins (http://www.r1ch.net/stuff/foobar/)

In that website you'll find the "winamp_spam plugin" that bastya_elvtars says.

Also , found this two plugins...but i'm not sure if it will help.

Foobar HTTP Server Remote Control (http://sourceforge.net/projects/foohttpserver/)
"This is a Foobar2000 plugin that provides Remote Control functionality via HTTP. It can not only play/stop/rwnd/ffwd but also manipulate the playlist, and send what file to play."

foo_lirc (http://sourceforge.net/projects/foolirc/)
"foo_lirc is a FooBar2000 audio player plugin which allows remote control of the FooBar2000 player from the WinLIRC/LIRC remote control server."

Hope it helps...  :]
