I meant that your system must be messed up because firefox takes far less then 120 MB in memory

can have something to do with what kind of RAM you have and CPU and maybe if you use things like memory tweaking programs. I have noticed for example that different kinds of cpu run badly written program differently which result that they use different amount of cpu usage even if the MHz speed is the same.

ok, everything is set. maybe the ram use was due to inaccuracy of windows task man

but whats with mozilla themes? :P

the memory problem starts 2 show up when you launch multiple windows with lots of tabs.
i kinda found this by nearly killing firefox, some corrupted theme  and a non compatible extension.
the extension could have been expected as it didn't came from the mozilla site, but the theme was suppost 2 work on firefox 1.0.
right now i can't use more then 1 window, but the memory usage is stable and low (50MB compaired to 150-180MB).

i think my full windows registry rewrite and CachemanXP (a truly great windows tweaker app) causes taskmanager to show ram usage (even more) incorrectly.

thats why i like linux/bsd you can compile for YOUR machine,  the difference is like between real coffee and nescaf? lol (@least IMHO)

do not forget to install: contains ALL tab features you will ever need.  :)

i use firefox, but i could not calm down, so found out that the latest nightly mozilla builds DO support themes - altho firefox is better... especially the MOOX builds.
