hello you fine scripters

is it possiblle to write a script that :

A: gives a user a right to a certain directory
B: hide or seal that dir for other users?

this because i,m in a network and have a lot of bots that i would like to share with other owners and scripters,
but also some programs for faking and cracking and those things dont belong to normal users[if they want those let them search for it and why bring them on idears?]


you could use that script also to share things with "special"people in your hub.

Have you try to use a messanger???
I'm not sure if is possible to create a script like this....
and you need a mod. dc++, not a script

I know i could use a messenger for it.

but i got over 100mb on files and that is a bit much to send over an messenger it would take ages to get it over.

and besides that i,m to busy with the hub and users in there so i dont have the time to get on a messenger evrytime.

with this script evry one could search for that he wants in his/her  own time.

besides if you use it to grant a user a privilige to d/l a program from you say a movie off 800mb would you do that also with a messenger?

eheh i know, but there isn't a script like that, repeat: you must have a dc++ modified for this, not a script...

you could also make a ftp server and  all could DL an UL to it.. no maintence to that one..

you could use that script also to share things with "special"people in your hub.

I think it's not possible... Downloading on DC is maintained on client-client basis. It's not touching the hub in any way so you can't filter it.

only thing you could do is, set up an extra client and only allow certain users to connect to it.
