2) "Block downloads", does this function only block non-regged from downloading??
3) Share setting, is it in MB or in GB??
Ehm, I happend to uninstall&delete the zip file for Xsthetic-NetServer and now when I redl it and try to extract the file, it says the file is corrupted (I was doing this to update from 8.01 to 8.02)

another question, why do you use installer? Why not just a zip? I don't really like things that use installer when it isn't needed.
Oh, why does your bot try to connect to your site on port 80 when you start it??

the scrolling Credit window is a HTML loaded direct from my site so i can update it easily and everyone sees the updated Credits.. .. hmmm maby i should update it lolol

Testing..cockups...testing...cockups....it never ends :D
im testing this script and its running really good with the new ptokax..im finding its not using so much memory, cpu and seems to be running faster too AND no complaints from users.. They do love the hangman tho :P Keep it up birdman :P :P

well after about 3 hrs solid trying i found out that sockets have been temoprary removed from Ptokax
so the !whois command cannot be scripted in to ptokax as yet..

now im getting this, this is what shows up in ptokax scripts page. but in dc++ this cums up in a pm aswell but it says that robocop sending it? basciall the message (pm) is sent by robocop? so i dunno wat it is i confused m8 really, and all da boxes in security more either got mubers in or have 0 in them, so i really dont know whats up soz to be a pain! just trying to get it sorted cheers

ive used the gui feature updated the xsthetics to 0.5 thing k
restarted scripts
reconnected to hub and i still getting this message-

Just wonderd if it would be pos for the script to keep a kick/ban log
One of my hub owners has loads of ops and dosent know who is and who isnt kicking
Or better still might be a league table
showing kicks warns bans etc
Or even both lmao
There is a kick log in- scripts\xsthetic\save.
There also a ban log in there and others! but it doesnt show you who is kicking though! if you use robo aswell that does!
!getkicks gives you the kick log
!getbanlist gives you the ban list
but i want to know who is doing the kicking without running robocop
well u can only get that then if hawk nicely adds it to were either it be lol.

Hey Hawk i seem to have a problem with the !hconfig
command. Here is the error i get. Script-Error>: 03/27/05 23:23:21 - xsthetic/!_Xsthetic-NetServer-8-13b_!.lua_5.0.lua:9549: attempt to concatenate a nil value. Sorry if this has been covered all ready ;)

Hi Peeps
For all those of you using the LINK feature on the GUI
dont forget to replace the .exe file with this updated one

Heres some info about using the LiNK feature
E.G 3 hubs in a Network.. ( could be more )
hub 1 ( main Hub for the Network )
hub 2
hub 3
In this example Hub 1 will be set up as the Server Hub..
Load up the GUI attached to Hub 1
Click the Link Hubs tab
set hub 1 in the Server setting at the top
Server Hub Addy.... is the Addy/IP of the hub
Port..... Is the Port the hub is running on
Bot Password.... The password the Bot will need to log in to the other Hubs
Chat Prefix..... The name of the Hub where the Text has been typed to display in all linked hubs so you know where the user is chatting from
now set the other two hubs up the same continuing down the list.
The ' Enable Controlled Redirects ' will Take the hub addys of all linked hubs and change the redirect addy of the server hub to each in turn for 1 min Cycling through all hubs then starting again.
Now click the Link Filters Tab
Set a Bot name for your LINK in the Link Bot's Name Box
Use the filters to block any Unwanted text being sent to the other Hubs
Now Register the Link Bots Name in all hub as Operator..
Click the Save Button ... and exit and close the GUI
Hub2 and Hub3 should NOT Have the Same Link Bot's Name as the server set in there GUI's
use any random string of letters in their link bot's names
Reload the gui on Hub 1 ( it will now start the connecting Sequence )
it will link to Hub 1 ( server ) first. when it has established a connection with the server hub it will then go on to connect to all the other linked hubs..
You can confirm connection to the server by clicking the Link Filters tab on the gui, the ' Hub Bot's Name ' box should now contain the same name as the Hub Bot name set in Ptokax..
if using the redirect feature the hub owner and net admin will get a pm from the link bot confirming all linked hubs and curent redirect addy.
I hope this helps a few Confused ppl

Meaning when people join a hub they see text saying type !cmds to display the Fun commands and type !help to display the Hub commands. I would like to add others there if possible :) just an idea for the new FreshStuff you have added.

I dont think i will be adding Dynamic Hub Share unless more ppl request it ..
i think it is Unfair..
E.G a user log in and starts a download then tries to get in again to finish it and finds the min share of the hub is Now to high...
Very Annoying for the user..

it gives me a error and stops unpacking to scriptfolder
Exeption EInOutError in module XN-Install-V8.00LUA5.exe at 00021222.I/O error 32.
Dunno if it has something 2 do with VB ,,
if it has - where to dload it ,, dont remember where

Ive had 2 reports of the GUI havin a virus attached...
only McAfee picks something up with the file and reports it as W32/Kelvir.worm.f
The File is Clean and would have be thrown off the host a long time ago if infected...
from the McAfee Web site :-
" This is a generic detection covering certain W32/Kelvir.worm variants (such as W32/Kelvir.worm.f ).
" Generic Checking " PMSL What they going to do next??? Delete ALL .exe files Just incase they contain a virus ????
Any way i suggest you move to a firewall that checks for actual viruses rather than doing GENERIC checks..

Heya Peeps .. ok after 30 mins Talking to McAfee's " Supposed Live Chat " i have emailed them all the GUI source and the compiled exe's for them to Exclude in all Future Updates ..
I hope it dosnt cause you too many problems ..
I dont use McaFee ( and probably never will now ) but maby there is a way you can Exclude files and allow the gui to run ..

On a personal note, may i state that i have never had a message about any worm/virus within XN... however when hawk showed me the Mcaffee detection stuff i was quite suprised to see the immortal words GENERIC DETECTION...meaning in earthling language errrrr ummmmm well we think it MIGHT be a virus!!!!!
i would also like to point out that i personally have known hawk, and ran hubs alongside him, although within a different network for a good many years now, and i would use his creations without any hesitation....i think everyone else should also consider the great service record this guy has to the DC community in General before anyone points fingers and starts a witch hunt here...

I would also like to show my support..... If these scripts had these attached viruses i am more than 100% sure the pc system would show it..... And after using hawks scripts from near the beggining with no flaws or mass problems i am more that 110% happy with what i have running. THESE SCRIPTS ROCK!!!! People who are afraid of viruses shouldn't use Mcaffee and Norton. :D
ok after serious investigations it would appear that mcafee may have made a serious mistake in detecting exthetic gui as infected with virus ! will post final explanation from macafee once it is receved.
there is nothing to fear but fear itself.
for thouse of you who dont use mcafee please ignore this post, i have run the gui through 5 other virus scanners and they all report it to be ok.
Also i am still running the exthetic but without the gui. and it all works a treat with no other issues many thanx for you patence and understanding and many thanx hawk for looking into this as quicky as you did.

the Link built in to the GUI is capable of taking the Games and Chat to any other hub soft that will allow the Bot to connetct ..
confirmed Hub softs the link has connected to

I have not tried it or Heard if it used with any other hub soft ..

Hi I have just installed xsthetic netserver and everytime i try to execute a command i.e -anstart or even if i guess a letter for hangman all i get is a pm saying " 04/30/05 17:07:36 - (none):0: attempt to compare number with nil"
Anybody Got Any Ideas??
Am Now Getting The Following Errors also (depending on which command im executing :
" 04/30/05 17:15:01 - bad argument #2 to `random' (interval is empty)"
" 04/30/05 17:16:50 - bad argument #1 to `open' (string expected, got nil)"

First of all thanks for an excellent update.
Second though comes the bad news.
I ran an update and the script wont start as an error keeps coming up once the update is complete.
error or unexpected end to scrip[t in the lotto numbers.
Please help as i have had to uninstall and go back to the basic version of v8.5

if you are running 8.50 there is nothing in the More settings file that you need ..
Open the gui, goto the updates page, Click the Blue Button for the more settings file and DELETE everything in there, exit all waindows ov the GUI saving as you go and restart scripts..

You can Update your GUI and then your script using the GUI update zip BUT you MUST follow the Included update txt file supplied in the zip..

Right my xthetics is fooked lol
Ive done wat ya said added that hangman thing to guisettings saved it.
then copied new gui into scripts and deleted old 1.
then i did a uto update using the gui (making sure site was up). It updated.
Problems -
Then i restarted scripts and xthetics is still unticked??

i want to make to be able to post more than 100 chars...
i tried to find something in the files, bt no luck...
if you gonna make some changes to it.. please add the ability to change settings of it.
and.. if you can... (i am sure you are, metter of time) change it so it will creat a txt file for each fresshstuff post.
ex: lets say i post a new stuff
[ !adds {##"the new stuff" ## "the info about new stuff, unlimited text" ]
and make it that {##"the news stuff"} will go to FreshstuffIndex.lst
and the ## "the info about new stuff, unlimited text"
will go to the /freshstuffFiles/fresh_#.txt (#=IDnum)
so when i type !shows, this will show me a list of ##"the news stuff"
and when i type !show # (ID number), this will show me the text of the ID.
this will be great. thanks in advance in anycase mate, hope you got time to work on it

I just once in a while check here for updates sorry ??????Hawk?????? lol but i do as well check ??????Hawk??????'s page, and i for just once every now and then, i have never had a problem with updating :) lmao. Now ??????Hawk?????? my question to you is do the hubs that i want to include have to use your script ? not that they dont want to but just for an understanding how this works :)

I always feel its best to wait til they ironed out most of the bugs in the ptokax debug versions before u try them (unless u like to find bugs :D ) Im using 17.03 release version for now and its been great. Makes me wonder tho why ur having probs with 17.04...hmmmm think i'll go test that now :P :P :P

Maybe a silly question but is xs the same as robocop? what i mean is is it better to run both robocop and xs? Can i please get some info about this? thanks in advance.

RoboCop is a Security bot with FULL controll over every little detail..
So if its Extreem controll over your security settings that you want then RoboCop is the one to choose..
The security in XN is mostly Automated with Few External settings.
so for less settings and complete All-In-One Fun and security then give XN a try..
I do try to keep the fun part of the script compatible with Robo BUT to run both you MUST disable the security in XN. Running robo and the security option in XN WILL cause you problems
The 2 scripts cannot really be compared
they are 2 Very different scripts.

I run them both now, also the security part of xn. because of the 7 day register rule wich is very nice, and protowall ip's and clone ip killer, those are not in robocop, i like xn very much allthough i have no clue what it all is lol.i have a few questions about it:
1. how can i small the field for mass message and main message, because in hub you see the message and after a blank field.
2.how do i add questions to trivia?, because it is mainly a dutch hub.
Further it is a wicked script i love it.

I had pm from a user not to use this script, it has a virus in it. he had to rebuilt his windows and hib hd broked from it, is this true? i removed the software till i have more info about this.

disabling xsthetic security will disable auto reg cleaner(xsthetic) too ?

Hi m8 .. Just copy the whole lot over and everything should be ok..
you cant call for scores when the game is active as that part of the Script is Bypassed to Reduce the B/W useage

there was a problem in hangman scores.. a user scored 165 points..he was shown as rank #1 in hangman scores...then i started playing for a while and i scored 70 points..and then i was shown as rank # 1 in hangman scores..the other users name was also not there in scores..thn i restarted scripts..thn all the scores were reset for hangman..i mean no scores were displayed for hangman..what this ? how to solve this..
also is there any command to reset scores in right click commands for angram,trivia and hangman ???

i made a fresh xn 8.50 install in ptokax 17.07 and updated xn to 8.52...got errors
i don have the errors log for 8.52..
thn i tried xn 8.50 ( w/o updating xn ) with ptokax 17.07..got errors ..script not working.here is the xn error log . txt

regarding the errors you posted....
the first errors start with the loading of the Lotto file. and then all hell brakes loose after, but the lotto file is the problem..
the second lot of errors start with the error of loading the Language file. and ofcourse without the language the script fails on just about every line that requires it.
check your files m8 .. youve got something strange goin on there ...

1. There is -trivquestionfile command working for quiz.
Could u make the same prefix for command anwordfile ??? [It is now ! ... this works only in master ptoka x hub not in any other connected hubs.]

lol got the answer for the above qstns in seconds..
what you need to do is just make a .txt file in scripts\xsthetic\ascii folder and restart scripts..the files are shown when !trigs is used in main chat..

The script Requires it to be there...
i dunno what your doing BUT the install creates Every file and folder required to run the script with no errors ...
Maby you should do a full install again and set it up from scratch and Dont try to import any old files over to it ....

yup it was a fresh install m8 :) and no old files were used anywhere..i formatted my hard disk last night ..d/led xsthetic from ur site..installed and tats it ..shall i re-install it...or make a "offline" folder in xsthetic ?

xn 8.52 does not display scores while anagram game is on ..why ? is it a bug ?

you cant call for scores when the game is active as that part of the Script is Bypassed to Reduce the B/W useage

download xsthetic 8.50 from hawks site ( //www.hawks-world.com ) and ptokax 17.08 for 98 from ptokax site ( //www.ptokax.org) install these both and then update ur xn to 8.52..and let me know if ur xn trivia works or not..
bcos at my place wen i do -trivstart or -numstart my ptokax crashes..thn i need to restart hub again.....
