Post by: robert on 31 March, 2005, 18:22:47
i used to use this small and simple script for the people to register their usernames... i don't think it works with the very new ptokax :)

anybody with much freetime willing help out and convert this? :(

your efforts will be very appreciated :)

--Requested by Cp6uja
--Made by nErBoS

sBot = "RegisterYourName"

function Main()
frmHub:RegBot(sBot)
end

function DataArrival(user, data)
if (strsub(data,1,1) == "<" or strsub(data,1,5+strlen(sBot)) == "$To: "..sBot) then
data = strsub(data,1,strlen(data)-1)
s,e,cmd = strfind(data, "%b<>%s+(%S+)")
if (cmd == "+regme") then
local s,e,pass = strfind(data, "%b<>%s+%S+%s+(%S+)")
if (pass == nil) then
user:SendPM(sBot, "Syntax Error, +regme yourpassword, you must choose a password.")
else
AddRegUser(user.sName, pass, 3)
SendToOps(sBot, "The user "..user.sName.." has registered himself.")
user:SendPM(sBot, "You have been successufly registered with the pass: "..pass)
user:SendPM(sBot, "Please reconnect and type in your password.")
end
return 1
end

Try this one:

--Requested by Cp6uja
--Made by nErBoS
--Converted to Lua 5 by jiten

sBot = "RegisterYourName"

function Main()
frmHub:RegBot(sBot)
end

function ChatArrival(user, data)
data = string.sub(data,1,string.len(data)-1)
s,e,cmd = string.find(data, "%b<>%s+(%S+)")
if (cmd == "+regme") then
local s,e,pass = string.find(data, "%b<>%s+%S+%s+(%S+)")
if (pass == nil) then
user:SendPM(sBot, "Syntax Error, +regme yourpassword, you must choose a password.")
else
AddRegUser(user.sName, pass, 3)
SendToOps(sBot, "The user "..user.sName.." has registered himself.")
user:SendPM(sBot, "You have been successufly registered with the pass: "..pass)
user:SendPM(sBot, "Please reconnect and type in your password.")
end
return 1
end
end

ToArrival = ChatArrival
