Always used Robocop and Ptokax, and after my update I'm not able to use ex. [2/1]user
2 and 1 is up and down speed.
Its the / who gives the problem.  ;(

I can edit in / in the xml file, but well the hub say no when user try to connect, I have alot of reg users, hard to change it all :(

So how can I put in / again?  :rolleyes:

These are the forbidden characters in the latest PtokaX:
Code Select
$  |  <  >   :  ?  *  "  /  \  and space      
and it's not possible to change them.

Some Chars have been blocked from use ( for good reasons )

The developer Chooses,  it is not for any of us to Demand..  we just get what he is good enough to let us have ( For free ).

But im sure if you fill his  Pay pal account up enough he would make some exeptions..

 could it be there was a reason/point in removing it.. not everything should be explained in developing.. just ask bill gates why no docs exist for ntfs filesystem , he has his reasons too..

all is said in the changelog/devlog ..

Well cant i put it in with a script or something, why is it accepted in clients? What risks can it be for me as a private hubserver with IP limits?

There are problems with getting filelists and files when using this char in the nick.. it is a protocol limitation.

Try to contact Microsoft support why is / not allowed in filenames (if user have / in nick then is problem with save filelist, log...)  :D

DC++ it changes... but here is not only DC++ and i need to be compatible with any DC client using nmdc protocol ;)

whould a possibly solution be that you escape the reserved characters as in the RFC of URI is described:

Quoteexcluded  must be escaped
escaped     = "%" hex hex
hex         = digit | "A" | "B" | "C" | "D" | "E" | "F" |
                          "a" | "b" | "c" | "d" | "e" | "f"



though this requires that dc++ changes this too.
