Whats the best script that stops flooders? a LUA 5 for ptokax 17.05?

The built in Deflood does not do enough for me, Users download flooders and attack my hub, whats the most effective script?

If th built-in deflood does not stop floders, you should review your settings and ask here if in doubt. After then, you still can report exploits to PPK.

To answer your question: there is no antiflood script for LUA5-enabled versions of PtokaX.

check the nicks, they keep changing so the "reconnect from same ip filter" should kill it.
my gues is that he has it on disconnect instead of a temp ban.

Hello.

After reading this thread and then looking at the Deflood settings in Ptokax 3.3.21, I find it a bit confusing. As I am a newbie and in a learning curve.

Is it possible for one to get explaination on what each box is supposed to do,, ?? I guess what I am saying, is, how to setup the deflood to be most effective.

I guess the best thing against flooders is to go private......make the main chat 10/5 "perm ban", should work.

it's a mather of playing around a bit.
there are no real default settings which work on every hub.
things like amount of users, chat, amount of connecting users per minute, all these mather.
but best action in my eyes is a tempban between 5 and 10 minutes.
