well we all know Meka][Meka has a personal vendetta against myself.
i personally find him quite a funny fellow, but he seems to try to attack hubs i'm in, with less and less success everytime, i may have to call his parents one day to put a stop to it but for the moment it adds a little excitement to my day.

I hate to be the one to tell you, hublist.org is under the same controll it has always been, but now we have new anti-fake features. (seems to annoy those who think they have a right to use fake hubs to get users, hmm doesnt dreamland allow fake hubs, maybe thats why it has so much support by certain members).
with regards to PPK, at that point in time there was very little kjl could do, the only sollution was to remove the hub from the hublist to stop any further pinger logins.
maybe the delivery of the sollution wasnt perfect but remember we deal with problems all day, we dont get paid we do it because we want to help. a problem was presented, a sollution was offered, i cannot see why the conversation has gone on so long.
the ip's used by our pingers do vary, but there are several sites that have a good few lists, i suggest checking on there for common ip ranges.

I don't think that dreamland is better. One thing is better have more hubs in list, xml list from hublist.org is limited to "only" 1500 hubs. I like xml hublist from hublist.org, dreamland don't have this one. I like webpages allowing owners to change details, dreamland missing this :( I like actual infos for hubs on hublist.org... for this is pinger needed and 3 hours for checking hubs is good interval, only need to really check hub after this inteval ;)
Maby it's a good question to ask , why the interval of hublist.org seems to be higher then other hublists.
Is this because they hublist.org is trying to determine minshare rules etc, or are there other reasons?

I just tell you that if hublist.org hub had benn running on PtokaX, it would have been protected against the yesterday flood. I wonder who do you think you are, since PtokaX has lots of features, secure and offers a great API for LUA. PPK is known to make rock-solid software, it is enough to check CZDC++ against vanilla or BCDC++. Also, frequent updates and PPK's being open to requests make this hubsof second to none. LOL, what a fight. I don't want to get involved too much but I also want to admit that PtokaX is cool. Of course there is no bugless software but PPK is working well and hard.
Hubs can register HubListPinger(s) to avoid that type of flood.

To check if hub running and have only running hubs on list, to check usercount, to get userlist with nick to have working user search... here is very much reasons for this ;)
