Title: before you ask a question.
Post by: plop on 03 December, 2003, 21:00:42
before you post a question take the time 2 read this (http://catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html#before)
it whill help you and us.
this is not 2 offend any1, but many questions are not necesary as the answer is allready here on the forum or somewhere else on the web or in the docs.
and there is a big difference in "I need" and "I would like".
the 1st is very rude, the 2de is polite and whill certanly help 2 get an answer faster.

thx plop

"The people who wrote the software work very hard to make it work as well as possible. If you claim you have found a bug, you'll be implying that they did something wrong, and you will almost always offend them ? even when you are correct. It's especially undiplomatic to yell ?bug? in the Subject line."

That is some nice information for us all to know  ;)

nice one..
its also a good idea to use your brain before you answer a question
(or advice someone to disable their firewall)

posts like..
[some code that doesnt work doesnt compile or just doesnt make sense]
..
not tested but it should work!

are useless
