C:\DiXBoT511\scripts\DiXBoT\CoreSystem\Greeting.lua:82: attempt to concatenate a nil value
Please post this error on the lua board so that Snooze can fix this!
http://forum.ptokax.org/index.php?board=90.0
Please include the DiXBoT Build you're running :)
Also, if you're not running build 2276, type !update in mainchat to get the latest updates available.
Thanks,
Snooze
thanks for the rapid reply, the version i have is the one contained in the latest RC2_2272_511_R2R pack
Hey Jinxed.
You can do two things. Either download the latest build from my website or The Lua Language Board or from my website (Both are in my signature)
When you've downloaded that version type !update. That command will check for updates on my server. You should should get two (2) updates.
AutoUpdate uses FTP.exe so you should allow that in your fireall :)
Let me know if you run into any problems :)
Thanks,
Snooze
[Edit]
Please contact me in my demo hub @ snooze.no-ip.com:1209 if the problem repro's in the latest version. [/Edit]
<[DiXBoT]> *** Error! - Could not retrieve updates from DiXBoT Update Site.
Reason could be:
- Firewall is blocking.
- FTP.exe is blocked from running.
- Update Site is down.
You can contact Snooze at www.snooze.no-ip.com for more info or goto the devhub @ dchub://snooze.no-ip.com:1209..
i turned firewall off and still get same problem tryingto use !update
The Update service is running and and working. (Tested from remote hub)
Here are a few suggestions to solve the update issue:
If you're running XP (sp1/sp2) I suggest checking the buildin firewall. It can be accessed from Control Panel.
If you're behind a router or hardware firewall you should make sure that port 21 is open for outgoing traffic.
if that don't solve the !update issue. I suggest that you download the latest version from my website.
To install that in your current hub, just unzip and copy the "scripts" dir to your root ptokax dir overwriting the current "scripts" dir. After doing that you should check all settings as they would have been reset!
Thanks,
Snooze
