Hi

If there is something like this already then sorry i couldnt find it through the search

Is it possible to make a script for the hub that randomly blocks User Downloads based on the ammount of time te user has been in the hub?

to be a bit more precise:

Lets say we set the script on an average of 12h/week Online Time in the Hub

User A was in the Hub an average of 15h, so nicely over what had been set, is not effected by the script

User B however was only online for 11h 59 Minutes so his downloads (not the uploads!) get randomly blocked, not like the full DL-Blocker Version but at random occasions.

I think that this would make a bit of fun, and at the same time would get the Users to be a bit more active in the hub

should be based on chat then

and this cuts into DC freedom i guess, cause if some1 cant afford spending a lot online, but he/she is a great one, whats up then?
Everything could have been anything else and it would have just as much meaning.

Well it's for a registered Hub that has some Users who come in-Dl what they want-and then disappear for another week or so leaving less alternativ download spots available in the hub itself.

and the admin there is rather sick and tired of that, so he was looking for an alternative to kicking or banning.

that is how this idea came around, so it sould not be based on chat, as quit a few Users who leave there Pc's running aren't always at home through out the week so it should be based on an average "onhub" online time, hopefully saving times seperatly in a table or so.
Because:
German DSL's have a forced Time Out after every 24h of internet connection. so at max they can stay Online for a straight period of 24h then they get disconnected and have to reconnect to the internet for the next 24h (Thank god i'm not in germany :D  )

plop

might be better 2 fix a usercleaner which keeps track of the online time.
if a user is online less the xx% per month his account gets deleted.
this forces them 2 stay online longer/permanent.

nice idea plop, just that theyre not to be kicked...mereley blocked from downloading 8)

in other words, who spends more time in the hub gets shorter waiting times in the hub (something like that)
that way others can still download from them, making it hurt just that little bit more (i know it sounds sadistic)

hope u get the drift to this one  :D

it is mereley an idea, but if someone were to script it this would be cool
