security bot

I'm searching for a security bot which is not compiled.
I was really happy to have Brain Master in Lua 4 cause it was possible to adapt to my needs, but now that nErBoS is more away from Dc, it seems that no one is willing to do that anymore...

3 reasons why i think you should release the source code:
1? If you dont, then I would say you shouldnt release it at all, cause to have 4000 hubs which look the same gets boring

2? It helps people like me to learn more about scripting, and that is i think important... unless you mind competition (which is not more than healthy)

3? Dont keep the source for yourselves just because 1 or 2 idiots take your credits for it....there are still plenty of people that just want to mod it and to give you all the credits

Tell me that the compiled versions are better for debugging, i tell you to release both, compiled and the source... It's a shame when people say that we can ask for the source, and when we do, we get no reply...

I dont mean to attack inocent people....but only the ones who arent will feel attacked...

Its simple really ....

Security bots are BEST compiled then would be hackers and wasters do NOT see the code and therefore have to try harder to circumvent the code !!!

Not compiling the code is like a Money safe with the combination written on the door

I would send you lawmaker source as you asked for it, but it is incompatible with the latest ptokax and has ancient chunks that need upgrade. If I release a more recent version, mail me again, as I welcome translators.

True, but like i said, is it worth it to ruin what could be good for a lot of people just because of an idiot? they sooner or later find out anyway...

I dont know enough for it...just a noob around here, but it would help to see a final source where we can see everything connected, at least it would help me..

Well, you deserve my appologies... i didnt know about that, and as you didnt answer the email nor the pm, and i saw you in the forum, i presumed you didnt want to give it.. so: I'm sorry  :P
Law Maker is a great script btw....i liked it a lot, hope to use a source of it in my hub  :D

Thx for your words. I am sorry for not responding, but I am happy that I have a hole on my butt. ;) I am extremely busy nowadays and disappointed by ungrateful people (no, NOT here) because I do my job here for free, and do not even receive a 'thank you'. I don't know if they had the network re-topologised, how much would they have to pay, but I guess about 1000EUR. So: never do favour(s) for people who aren't worth it!

1) windows is compiled and no1 complains that there are milions of compies like it.
neither are you but you are using it.
if you wanna stick 2 this point start using something like kde/gnome.

2) you can learn more from small scripts which can be overlooked.
big scripts tend 2 be a jungle.
a great way 2 learn is 2 grab a small script which you know has 1 or more bugs, and try 2 fix those.
you learn more from trail and error then copying.
like they say "you learn from your mistakes", i always add 2 that "so make as many as possible".

3) scripts are not always compiled 2 avoid editing.
and some scripts can be fully customized while being compiled.
this is the case with for example deflood 5.x.
alltho the main file is compiled you can alter any line ppl see and change all the settings/features.
in the case of deflood i released it compiled after talking 2 the other scripters.
it makes it harder 2 find way's around it and protects users from silly hub owners removing the ip check on the ctm.

but in the end it's all up 2 the scripter whether you like it or not.
it's there work so they may decide.
if you don't agree then don't use it.
but you don't have the right 2 complain about this.

In other words: we do not compile because we want to avoid changing it... personally I compile because I don't wanna help people who edit it w/o knowledge.

yes, i'm using windows, but i also complain about it... Just because you complain you can still use it..
I know i have to learn like that....and i've been trying.. just asked for an opportunity to get further...(maybe prematurly)
and i think deflood is different from a normal security bot, i know that releasing the source of it would make it easier to kill it, not the same with the bots i asked for

And to make it clear, i didnt complained directly about this, i asked for a bot and complained about people who say that they give the source if necessary or whatever and then they reject to give it (one confusion about this was already cleared i hope)

bastya, i didnt understand, you dont want people to edit it without "knowledge" or without "your knowledge"?

I meant without lua knowledge. If they translate a sentence and produce concat errors, it is hard 2 explain for them and fix.

Difference is (if it is at all) significant at big scripts like robo or xsthetic.
