hello all is this possiblle?

i wanted a script that checks the hubstats of several hubs and saves the outcome to a file
and this on a timed base.

so basicly this info is what i need

hubstats
online
user count
share count

can this be done by a lua-script or has this to be clientside scripting?

either way can someone help?

Hubstats - ???
Online - can be done by client/serverscripting in lua..
user count i would do it the client scripting way
share count same as with user count

take in consideration that this has to be done over several hubs about 80-100

and if possiblle in one sollution
and yes it is pre if this could be done with clientside so that one person can do this and it is not needed for hubowners to ad another script.
 
so i agree with skrollster it is best to be done clientway

i didn't understand what you wanted with Hubstats that doesn't say me anything, can mean a lot of diffrent things...

oke i have the complete request for the script now here it comes

user count min/max/logged
share count  
uptime /if not availlablle then in log xxxxx
Slots min/Slots max/Hubs: 2 / 0 / 0
if possiblle redir addy from hub
hubname cq addy

this needs to be logged  and if possiblle compared against prevous log then make a file with what is diffrent from what hub

so normal logwould be something like :

 \hublogs\04-27-2004\- 2am.log

and diffrence:
 hublogs\diffrent\04-27-2004\funnyhub or ip

can it be done will somebody try to do this?

This would be really nice to have, since I need to monitor about 200 hubs' online status / share totals and where their redirects are pointing.

Hi,

If i understand you want a script to check out the Hub Stat of some Hubs, well don?t now if is possible, never played with sockets, but even if is possible that would lag each Hub every times the command is requested.

it should be possiblle if i have read it right with clientside scripting.

furthermore if you would do this with a client instead of a normal lua script the lag wouldnt be that big, if i,m correct.

Ohhh with a client is other bussniss :) yes that is possible i think, but i have never done a script to work with a client, if i am not mistake it works with Lua 5.0. I would mind to check that out but i am out of time to learn new things :( may some one could do this.

this may sound stupid but here goes , well its the way ive done to mointer a couple of hubs .

1) need webspace ( hint = ptokax got built in webserver)

2) html knowlage

3) if all hus running ptokax , asks hub owners to ativeate ptokax hub webserver.

4 create a webpage with abutton ,that when click will take u to that hubs stats page ,

pretty easy ... , best is if u run a ptokax hub too u all ready got a webserver and stats for ur hub too :)

:) semms everubody forgot ptokax webserver LOL

PPS. before anybody says out i know this a lua forum PMFSL  ;)

as far as i know not all the hubs are running ptotax.
