Hello alles

I'm gonna start a Public Reghub and want a script to hide all regged users (op's and reguser) IP for non-egged users,,
Like Verli it would be nice if client-tag and IP is hided and hided when regged dload from non-regged users..
is it possible to do such script ??

the first part can surely be done ...

although I believe the second part where u say about hiding the tag even on dnlds I think will be a problem ..
as you know the clients are exchanging $MyINFOs on connection between them ...

are you sure about that decision of urs ? maybe it would be so much easier on every1 to host 2 hubs linked with HubLink or smth ...

I cant imagine the complains you'll get ..

ooh this main lags the hell out of me ...

That last comment will be definately in the top5 complains ...hiding stuff is essentially sending some info (full & original version) and then resenting it with the hiding bits out ( trimmed version ) ... so essentially it is doubling the bandwidth ...

I can live with if its not possible to hide between clients but ,
the first part of the request to hide tags and IP is ok :)
That bandwidth thing is not a problem besauce:
its only non-regged that not could se tags and IP ,, as an keyuser i should se all tags and IP in the hub

IP cannot be hidden, its pure clientside IMHO

if you wanna hide a tag, every time a myinfo occurs the script sends one without tag immediately. So it costs about 2* as much b/w, on a 100Mbit you can only host 3000 users.
