u seem to be using the wrong modules for the newer Gekko file Warn was transfered to the KTB.gmod(ule) so u need to make a fresh install of the Gekko v6 beta 4 files

lol dont try and edit the files, just put the rar file into ptokax directory and click extract here and it will do the setting up itself

oke here we go

A:

in the settings.dat file set your hubpass and ownername

after you have done that you need to type in main
PASS

this has to be done by ALLl OP,s and ABOVE
otherwise they cannot kick or ban and such things.

B:

you will have to adjust the reguser.dat to fit the profiles.dat or otherwise your regusers will have some priviliges you didnt give them.

so edit the file reguser.dat outside gekko to the new profiles

if you type !SET LOG ON gekko will keep track of users connected together with ip and stores this in a file.


and as phatty told you DONT TRY TO EDIT GEKKOV6.LUA
it is a compiled script so not editablle.

heheh thats why i said this script not for newcomers to the gekko project, advanced script, !set log on will switch it on and send u updtaes on bad clients being banned or such, try !set hubpass

these commands only can be done by hubowener, once i get time i will make a setup prog that will convert all ur settings to work for newbies included ;)

Hello,

I'm testing the latest Gekko version, I have this problem:
When the Owner connects and use !help, he get all avaible commands displayed.
When a Master connects he should be able to also have all avaible commands displayed, but he only get all the commands untill the Admin commands and not the " Owner/Master" commands list.

What can I have done wrong?

if you open the settings.dat file and add the name of the master to the owner nick perhaps that helps.

Thnx for the suggestion Trucker, but that doesn't work.
The Masters are aible to do the 2 commands that are only avaible for Owner/Masters, he only doesn't get those 2 commands in his commands list.

why even do that, read readme, it says all settings can be done from script itself, nothink has to be done externally ;)

one of my ideas i satrted, im not sure wether to finish, so i'll see what you ppl think.

each op will have there own account, in which they will be able to setup there own commands so for example

phatty cud have

!kick

and purmerend cud have

!boot

or even Piglja cud have:

!spars

----

so ops will start with default commands, and then they wud/cud type

!set !kick !spars

just example, what yo'olle think of me doing this?

Ok phatty heres what i have on G6 beta 4

!topic = does nothing
          = no script errors

!temp = does nothing
script error = attempt to concat global 'kicked' (a nil value)

!ban = Enter a valid username
        = no script errors

!disconnect = Enter valid nickname
                   = no script errors

!slots = does nothing
         = no script errors

!report = works fine but it shows to everyone in main chat (nobody wants to be a narc lol)

Master !help = Only shows up to admin commands

Thats all i got for ya buddy keep up the great work man
