Well I find it VERY bad and unrespectfull to ptaczek that is trying to make a public release of 0.3.3.0 and you or the one create this and is on 0.4.5.0....

what is better then, I must ask... fixed some major bugs or just what... ?

The point is if u wait so long 4 anythin in life eventually if sum1 has a dodgy/bootlegged version that could do the job better than the thing you're replacing, they will eventually either create their own modified version or somehow release an illegal version.

I aint sayin it's right or wrong & I know EVERYONE's waitin 4 the official release & Ptaczek's a busy man but the DC community is gettin bigger & bigger everyday so this will happen.

Could you (PPK) be more specific about what is fixed and what is different then in 0.3.3.0 build 25.
Could help us out with some info so scripters can work on it or could try some with it for final release.
What is the goal for releasing (say xmass 2004 or ......)

well im running the Ptokax0.330.b15.25.dbg  Beta version  and " no im not a beta tester "
but had i not come across this i would not be here..

my thaught are:-

Release one of the earler Betas to show ppl  that the new release is worth waiting for..

the curent releases of Ptokax ar far to BW and Resource
hungry and are way way behind some other hub softwares.

I think the the MAIN reason people are still using them is because of the Script activity in here, with out this im sure ptokax would lose out to others.

just to add  the version im using runs fine with no crashes or problems  appart from

1.  The ' Clear user statistics ' button dosnt work  so you have to keep over writing the users.mdb  file to clear it.
2. the Word Replace Manager dosnt work

but this is a small price to pay for a hub thats worth running..

What the f*@k hehehe I rushed to this post thinking at last a new public PtokaX DC Hub 0.4.5.0 build 30.55 Special Edition pro... Oh well just have to wait a little patient more for any new release of PtokaX.  Serves me right rushing to this post and giving my heart a little excitment... hehehe

My thoughts are this.... personally I love PtokaX.  I've been using it for some time and couldn't think of using other software.  However,  PtokaX is sorta falling behind and I think when people hear of new releases they try and get them.  I don't agree with people who say that ptaczek is working hard and releasing or using the software not made for the public is "disrespectful".  First of all, any time you release software to anyone never the less a peice of software that many people would enjoy to use you're taking a chance.  Also, if hub owners wanna trust some beta software for their hub and take the chance what's the big deal.  I just don't understand it.  I heard someone on another forum saying that if a beta got out it would slow down the release.  Which made no sense to me.  I mean you don't heard Microsoft saying the leaked versions of Longhorn are slowing the release.  I think ptaczek does a great job but people have to understand.

id honestly be happy with 15.18 without inbuilt commands, and rest of the stuff removed ie userdb, etc etc, that wud be spot on... ;-)

Maybe ptaczek should give the new release a new "version number", like x4.0 or something like that. Then people woldn't think that these "fake" ptokax are releases from ptaczek. This might be a stupid idea, but it was just an idea I got out of the blue
